A gorgeous well maintained old pub. Staff quickly got us seated I'd recommend booking as they are very popular. They have a good choice of drinks and real ales too. The food was lovely they have a few vegan options I had mushy pea fritters with sweet chili sauce and a vegan pie which was lovely
Plenty of fresh cooked veg with the meal. Only downside as they were so busy I had to chase them for more drinks after id had my main but it is a beautiful pub with a fantastic menu you should go if you are in the area. Large car park and spotless bathrooms too.

This is our go to pub if we have family and friends staying with us. The service, hospitality and food are always good and never fails to be so. The manageress and staff are all very helpful and we would recommend this place to all passing through the village of Trellech.

During our most recent visit we were looked after by Kirsty, Alex and Brooke. Despite being a little short staffed that evening everything happened and the experience was enjoyed by our guest.

Well done to all of the staff and of course the management.

Had a meal here at lunchtime with friends. We travelled from Birmingham and this seemed an ideal location to stop off on our journey to Cardiff.
Lots of choice on the menu and very friendly staff.Lovely old fashioned pub inside and country looking on the outside.
Food was very good...couldn't quite understand why the waitress asked how we wanted our gammon steak cooked and the sauces she offered to go with it..but perhaps she was new?
Anyway everything was very tasty..no complaints

What a fantastic old fashion pub.
Great home cooked food. Good selection of beers, lagers & ciders. Fantastic atmosphere. Also wonderful staff very friendly and helpful. Landlady was away on holiday...but you couldn't tell, because the staff were so good.

Traditional country pub. Beautiful old building, small bar and great service. Nice selection of local ales along with a large menu. Decent large food portions. Recommended if you are in the Wye valley.

What a little gem of a place!
Very unassuming but the number of cars in the car park tell you how popular it is. Old world charm inside, so expect a cramped space.
Very friendly staff, great service and wonderful food. We had duck breast with sour cherry sauce and guinea fowl as mains, both were beautiful.
We noticed the pub has won a best pub award, which seems well deserved to us.
We were just day visitors but made to feel as welcome as locals. Thanks!
Highly recommend.

Took my uncle for a birthday Sunday lunch. What can I say except outstanding. One of the best Sunday lunches I have ever had. The lamb was to die for..succulent and tender. The dining area is quite small but staff have definitely made the most of the space without making you feel cramped or uncomfortable. The staff were very friendly and polite and nothing was too much trouble. Well done..would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely country inn.

What a great local pub!

You often don't see places like this anymore, and I honestly wish I lived in Trellech just for this reason alone.
Open fire and friendly staff, cozy and local with a great selection of beers, cider and ale.

Food was outstanding. I recommend the Lamb Shank 👌.

Plenty of parking and it looked like a tented area was erected for the summer.

100% worth the visit if your near by.
