It's extremely hard to review this place.

The location is gorgeous. The beer was fine. The food microwaved, and more expensive than the menu, but we were refunded the difference. The landlord is very eccentric. The décor is "unusual" and the whole place could do with "refreshing".

If you want great food and service - perhaps not for you. If you want to sit in the sun with a pint and look at the view - it's good.

If someone who knows their stuff gets hold of this place there will be standing room only.

This is an unusual place. Chris, the landlord has a heart of gold. The room was clean and tidy. Do your best to get into his secret bar with the albatross. I am glad that these places still exist. But leave your usual expectations behind.

Quirky pub next to the beach. The inside was a bit dated which we quite liked and it has a full size snooker table which you don't see often in a pub. This is the only pub in nolton haven and the only pub within walking distance from the campsite me and my group were staying at. We only visited on the first night out of the three days. The pints are overpriced and its not a very welcoming place for visitors. Towards the end of the night the staff started moving people on so they could close up but you could see they just wanted to lock up so the locals could carry on drinking and do their thing we found the man serving behind the bar rude and annoying so we didn't return again on our trip. It wouldn't surprise me if the restaurant next door would one day expand and take over the pub as that place really did look quality but unless you booked in advance there's no way you would get a table. Maybe if they took over the rest of the building they could cater for a lot more customers.

Interesting and relaxing place to stop off for a drink whilst walking the coastal path

Was very disappointed in this little pub. It was the only one in our village near our camp site The pub looks nice from the outside and over looks the beach however the inside is dated. No food available either that is sorted by the restaurant next door which again was the only one in the village and fully booked for the next forth comimg weeks. We did manage to get in the restaurant due to a customer no show on our first night, after that we went out elsewhere , we didn't even return to the pub for a drink after that.

I found the landlord not very welcoming no conversation from him. A friendly hello would have been nice, and the pub I don't think is very family friendly.
Loud rock music which for a pub that's probably has a lot of tourists with children I don't think it's very suitable, but hay my opinion.
We did have a friendly chat which one of the young locals who we found very helpful with local information.

Would we go in again-No we wouldn't.
