my partner and i ate here for the first time today and it certainly wont be the last. Both starters and main meals were excellent, beautifully cooked , and generous portions. My main was probably the best vegetarian meal i have eaten out to be honest. The staff were fantastic too.. if i could award more than five stars i would . Cant wait to return and try something else from the extensive menu.

Booked a table at the Silver Fountain in advance as Sally said it can be busy on Saturday evening. Welcomed as we walked in by Sally at the bar. Advised of specials board and shown to our table.
We both ordered goats cheese and red onion marmalade tart that was served with green salad garnish. Delicious.
For mains I had Lamb shank and my husband had the Chicken ham and leek pie. He just but only just managed to finish it, the portions are very generous.
I decided to have a sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream.
We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and will certainly return again.
Would have given another star if more craft/cask/real ales had been available, but overall an enjoyable evening.

Excellent service in an amazing and very traditional setting. Real log fire and all very cosy.
Sunday roast each, she had beef and I had the lamb. Decent portion, too much for her and I swapped some mash and beef for a taste of my lamb. Well cooked and tasty.
I was stuffed!

Fantastic place,great food
Our favourite was the beef and Guinness pie.. top notch , the burger was a bit tough and not to our liking but otherwise a great place to eat...
The service is 5* lovely lady can’t remember her name but she has short hair and serves you at the bar.... she is brilliant and you can have a laugh with her.
Thank you guys

A lovely old-fashioned and traditional pub in Betws-y-Coed offering high quality foods. While the menu is varied, the options are a little limited however there are many specials boards up offering a lot more options. Starters, mains and deserts are covered and the wait for them isn't that long! That being said, the place is quite quiet even though this gem of a place should be a whole lot more popular. The meals are a little pricey but it's 100% worth it. The place is clean and well managed, although getting to the car park (especially on motorbikes) is a challenge with a rough and steep incline. If you're in the area, you need to visit!

An absolute gem of a place! We come to Wales every year and we visit this place each time. Sad to hear Sally will be moving on but I hope it keeps its great homely feel and fabulous food. Easily the best vegetarian food I have had out and the meat dinners just look amazing! I was so tempted looking at my friends plates.

The best pie I have ever tasted and the most friendly and welcoming staff I have had the pleasure to meet. I cannot understand why more people are not visiting this place. The food is so good. Homemade and fresh. An undiscovered gem. We have travelled from South Yorkshire and wish there was something like this nearer to home.

We called in on our way home to Shropshire twice now on a Sunday early to bookevening. Advised to book a table in advance, please don't rush time here as food is home cooked and not processed. Manic at times but such a lovely place and always made welcome. Dogs welcome and open fireplace.
Will definitely go back and will always pass on to others, infact this review is promoted by talking about our weekend and meal on the way home.
