The Clarence Inn

Nice pub and very friendly staff. Pub is clean and a log burner always makes a pub feel cosy. Meal was nice but the gammon was a lot thinner than I would have liked but tasted nice, friends we were with commented the same. Good selection of beer and nice and cold.

On Holiday and having a walk around Brecon. Feeling hungry at lunchtime and went into The Clarence as it was at the end of our walk. Glad we did. Service at the bar and waiting was good. The beer, Butty Bach was spot on and well kept. I ordered Steak and Ale pie with veg. It came out hot. The pie was delicious and the veg properly cooked to my tastes. My Wife had ham, egg and chips and she was suitably impressed. The meal was well priced and good value
Both myself and my Wife used the loos and they were spotless. In my mind a good indicator of how the pub is kept. The garden was attractive and also well kept. If the opportunity arises and I hope that it does, I will visit again. Recommended..

Had a lovely meal out at The Clarence Inn. The staff were so lovely & helpful. The chef went above and beyond and cooked a lovely gluten free lasagna just for my son (which was better then mine, he said) Also very clean and tidy. Would definitely return.

Excellent beer, fantastic food, spotlessly clean toilets, but it's the little things that impressed me. The genuinely warm welcome to total strangers walking in to the not demanding payment for food when you order make it a pub you want to return to and would recommend without hesitation.

Manager and staff were welcoming and friendly. We had four rooms for two nights with one evening meal. Our rooms were clean spacious and comfortable.

Lovely staff, the outdoor garden is really big and spacious. They accept stag/hen parties. Food is great.
