I personally go to the boxing classes and have PT boxing sessions too - training for upcoming fights. The knowledge is in abundance and the training is second to none. It’s certainly not a rare sight to see and be among some truly talented British professionals whilst at primal so I can’t rave enough about this place. There is literally nothing I can fault.

First joined Primal Fitness in 2020 to boost my mental health and get fit.
From the moment I stepped into the gym (on my lonesome) I was met by friendly members and staff who made me feel welcome and at ease.
Primal owners Simon and Adam are very knowledgeable on fitness, nutrition and work with you to help you get the results you want.
It's a boxing gym predominately so don't expect a great weights room and lots of cardio machines - this is a "if you want to earn it you need to burn it" style gym, simple in presence but with maximum benefits.
They just need to sort out their music playlists 😁
Great classes ,fun & functional.
Primal is a welcoming all round gym for anyone, of any age, gender or ability. It has dedicated areas for circuit training and cardio, a decent weights gym, and specialised boxing gym with all sorts of equipment and boxing ring.
I'd always fancied trying boxing, but one of my biggest concerns was not wanting to feel like I was making a fool of myself. But from day 1 the guys have been so welcoming and encouraging there, I've felt instantly part of the family. Since then and no doubt down to how welcome I felt, I've returned to regular weight training after 15 years off and still use the punch bags and train boxing too.
I felt turning 40 and with a bit of a Dad-bod I was at a fork in the road. I was either going to take responsibly for my health and well being, or slide down a slippery slope. Only 6 months in (including plenty of lock down I feel much better in myself mentally and physically so it's been a life changing thing for me and hopefully should continue.
So if you're wondering whether to give something a go, I'd highly recommend Primal as all of their PTs and class leaders are completely welcoming and make everyone of all abilities feel at home.
Both Adam and Simon have an immense wealth of experience in combat sports, fitness and strength training and are more than forthcoming in making suggestions, sharing tips and advice at any time around the gym. If you are more advanced and want to train as a serious fighter, you're in very good hands.
Primal has a relaxed vibe with a genuine sense of community, not like a big corporate gym where everyone has their head down looking at their phone on a bike! Plus at £40 per month including all group classes it's very reasonable too.
