I signed up to the gym 2 months ago when I moved up to Chorley with the football team. The staff have been amazing since I came, they go out of their way to help and assist with programs. They are not the cheapest gym in Chorley but when you look at the equipment they have which is far superior to the cheap gyms and the cleanliness and service then you realise the extra couple of pounds per month is worthwhile. The staff, including Jason & Tom are a credit to the company.

I joined this gym for one month while between locations. The staff were at first accommodating to my situation and explained than I could join for one month for £27 + £20 deposit for a fob which would be returned.

At the end of my membership I attempted to return the fob in exchange for my £20 deposit. They refused to return the £20 as they had no money. I was told I would be provided with my £20 if I returned to the gym another day but this did not happen.

The treatment from this company has been appalling. I would appreciate it if you can kindly return my £20 please - thank you.

Appalling manors and common professionalism for this gym avoid at all cost as they want your money and that is it. I joined the gym and matter of a minute money taken and joining email sent with attachments. After not receiving fob after 5 days I phoned to be informed they had no fobs so could only use gym during open hours. I work then as do most people and was never informed of the fob issue so pointless having membership ironic name anytime fitness but couldn't go anytime. As im in my 14 day cooling off full refund period stated in there T&C I chose to cancel which again is a nightmare as the app is awful to use. I received a phone call Saturday, not saying name but she was lovely and confirmed cancellation and full refund but since then I have emailed 4 times with no reply i sent bank details as asked on that Saturday and emailed saying received but now after 5 weeks I have still received nothing. I am in the process of contacting citizens advice and I am not leaving the matter as its the rudeness and lack of communication not the money.
Awful gym and I have now bought one for home due to this poor treatment

Bunch of goons at this gym! I signed up and went three times, cost of living smashing everyone myself included and I stopped going. Even though I paid for months without stepping foot through the door. They have electronic fobs that detect you going in and now they have tried to charge me £279 through some debt company that is now sending me letters and texting my phone. Avoid these con artists who aren't concerned with Fitness but are focused putting their clients into FAKE debt.

Going for a year. Has everything you need. I mostly go because it's open before 6am and I like an early morning work out. Plus the parking outside doesn't charge until 8am. So it works out free for my routine..

The place has 2 personal showers and 1 disabled toilet. One of th showers has been out of use for 1-2 months.

One of the 7kg dumbbells has been missing for a long time and never replaced.

It has dumbells, barbells and cardio machine and a few machines dotted around. It's clean and a little small and I think there's room for improvement.

I think the price has risen to £30 per months recently too. It works for me. But if I found a cheaper or bigger one just as close I would probably switch. This is the most convenient for me at the moment.

Great gym, great location! New owners and managers have been great, had a tour of the gym and signed me and my wife up.

I went to trial the gym so this was a one off experience and therefore my opinion:
Pros:
1) Gym is quiet so all the equipment was free to use
2) It is in a good location
3) Equipment is new and allows syncage with mobile apps
Cons:
1) It is expensive, it's £27.50 a month plus £20 for the access fob, other 24/7 gyms are cheaper and have cheaper 1 off payments too e.g. Jetts in Wigan is £19.95 + £10
2) Nearest car park is pay and display when I asked about it I was told by the member of staff I needed to pay (might have been a mistake on his part) so would lead to additional costs
3) Aircon was ineffective for the size of the room, I know it has been warm recently but after a short time of cardio I was feeling sick. They may not have taken into account the aircon when increasing the size of the room.
4) The individual showers are nice but when I used them there was no soap in the dispensers
5) Sauna was not working, I was told this was because of COVID but local spas have their saunas open so not sure about the justification.

Equipment is ok but basic, compared to other gyms I've been a member of but more expensive. Relies on members to clean which often isn't done during the unmanned times. Music played throughout the night of the swearing/rude Rap variety and loud enough that headphone can't drone it out. Entirely useless for any form of relaxation workout/late night yoga. Unlike other gyms of the same
or lower price their is neither a personal trainer on hand unless pre booked, no complimentary shakes and poor wash facilities let alone a steam room in use like many have. After a couple of months I'm having to cancel my membership as it's not fit for my purpose and has put me off trying any other Anytime Fitness gyms on my work travels. Assistance is also not available throughout the night despite the button.
