This club is not what it used to be! Members are not valued, club maintenance is non existent, they can’t even get the sauna to work half the time, and often you find soap or tissue dispensers empty. Faulty showers, faulty gym equipment, a broken pool staircase which has taken away and replaced with a yellow cone for over 6 months, and the list goes on!
It’s a real shame as this gym could be great, but it’s the basics they fail at. When you speak to management, nothing is wrong, it’s always someone else’s fault.
I would rather pay double to get a good service and a consistent experience.
Would certainly not recommend this club to any new prospective members.

There are some really excellent Tennis Coaches at the Club.our main coach for our whole family, Mark Jackson, the Senior Raquets Manager has helped all our family ,inspiring us for 23 years to enjoy Tennis to the full . He has an enormously diverse and flexible approach to bringing out the best of our talent! So much so that one of my sons is now working with him as a Tennis Coach and the whole family feel that a day which includes playing tennis is a GREAT day!

James with his advanced classes, that I joined more recently, is from my experience another enthusiastic, thoroughly committed Tennis Coach who also makes it fun..My observation of the whole team of coaches is that they all bring a lot of energy and talent to the Club.

Thankyou!Tennis is such a great and social sport!

It’s not good value for money
classes are only 45 minutes and people who pay more membership get priority booking. Very popular evening classes of yoga are in a small studio and are always full. Considering how expensive It is you don’t get what you pay for. There are gyms with the same classes and facilities with more flexibility that cost a lot less.
The staff at west end are lovely but David Lloyd clubs are a scam.

Pricey but good. Still one of the best gyms around simply because it’s a posh leisure place with so many things you can do (but for me I just used the gym, pool sauna and steam.
doesn’t have all the machines I wanted and they couldn’t double up on the popular dumbbell weights I tend to have to wait for someone to be done with it. Asides from that it’s still got most expected machines… good tidy and helpful staff,
Sauna is great although it does get busy they could make it slightly bigger and the same with the steam room but it’s very temperamental sometimes it’s great sometimes it’s barely working/ takes ages to kick in hence the 3 stars.
Otherwise if I used the classes and tennis I would give 4/5

Pretty expensive but you get a good quality of gym equipment, Sauna, Steam room, Huge hot bubbly tub and 2 swimming pools.
One is outside which is great for a dunk after a sauna... Especially in winter time...

Visited whilst working in the area for an outdoor swim and lunch before a drive home to Bristol. Great facilities, outdoor pool 23m long, bigger than most. Purple tennis courts looked cool!! Food was good and friendly service throughout.

Really enjoying this gym. It’s got everything you need, the pool facilities are great. Recently tried the food too and was presently surprised at how good that was tasted fresh and full of flavours.

Really some pros and cons there. I like the gym, classes, good sized pools. Good steam room. Sauna definitely should be bigger as sometimes there is a quеue and people are waiting to get to top shelf and if you are on the bottom step your feet are cold. I also don't like that children are not allowed and sauna and steam room. My little one used to it since pregnancy and birth and always pops in for few minutes just to warm from swimming pool there, but no chance in DL. Classes age restrictions also don't work for us. My daughter is 4 y.o, but quite tall and sporty. She is doing swimming since 8 w.o. and gymnastic and dancing since 18 m.o. The basic classes which are marked 3-5 y.o. are not enough challenging for her. She started to go to the classes, but not interested any more as no challenge. It would be better to do another split. Something like beginers, intermediate and advanced would be better. Also, problem with family parking. The club position themselves as family club, but has just 3 family with kids parking spaces. So, overall it's a good club, but some improvements and adjustments would be welcomed
