Urban Sports Fitness of Leamington Spa

Joined this gym in January, as soon as you walk in the door you are greeted by smiling friendly helpful and welcoming team, eager to wish you a good session, after only a few sessions I was greeted by name, the equipment is fantastic, atmosphere is motivating, changing rooms bright and clean.
I moved to this gym for several reasons, its 100% increased my training, and motivation to train, its become a second home, the little touches make all the difference, the towels, the support towards my training, I’ve met some very interesting and friendly people, everyone with the same mindset of just having a great training session.
Its a 45 mile round trip for me, and worth every mile!! A gym that cares about the members, clean and tidy and one that makes you train harder every single session!!

Joined last month from having been a previous member of Nuffield. This is a proper gym, loads of great equipment, spacious and not overcrowded. Can't be more pleased with my decision to move. Staff are friendly and always welcoming.

Machines and equipment cleaned and maintained daily.
Updated and upgraded regularly.
Excellent selection of supplements and protein drinks.

Couldn’t speak highly enough of this gym, has everything you need from a well kept variety of good sturdy equipment, to welcoming and brilliant staff. It’s also very easy to see the extra mile the owner goes to make it by far for me the best gym in the area. Couldn’t recommend enough

Been training at Urban for a while now. The range of equipment always means you can switch up the workouts and keep them interesting. All the staff and PT’s are so helpful and are always willing to offer advice when needed. A proper professional environment all round.

Urban Fitness may want to vet their staff thoroughly. I appreciate you cannot vet peoples poor character, which is easy to mask at an interview.
Kasey Birtley (Personal trainer) thought it was sufficient to move from one gym and start working at another and stealing my money in the process. For anyone that wants to know what occurred a matter of months ago please see below --------------------------------------

Imagine having long term health conditions and no longer being able to train and your personal trainer (Kasey Birtley then a PT at Puregym) callously and dismissively tells you "...times are difficult for many reasons" . Further adding "its a business"; proceeds to ignore me and retain monies for 4 out of 5 PT sessions I paid for. Kasey was offered the opportunity to carry out the sessions and completely disengaged and just kept my money- which is THEFT!

Kasey DOES NOT CARE ABOUT VISIBLE OR INVISIBLE disabilities. Has a very POOR attitude indicative of greed, dismissiveness, ZERO empathy, no real concern about ethics or person centred health. A MAJOR disappointment and utter disgrace. I am guessing times must be difficult for Kasey as he is clasping these funds for dear life- its pitiful! This is unacceptable that a PT would conduct their business in an illegal manner.

*******This is not a false review, any member of staff/ or prospective client of his that wants information about my situation, please do not hesitate to contact me. I cannot help but think that if I wasn't a female, he may have felt no option but to offer a fair service. But, for whichever reason he feels entitled to TAKE peoples money and FAIL to deliver a service!

*update following Urban gyms initial response*: I did not "succeed" in giving your gym one star. Its evident that I have brought to light, a pattern of behaviour that your gym is not aware of. As you have pointed out, you do not "VET" the trainers, so thank you for confirming this.

Kasey you know full well who this is. You disengaged when offered the opportunity to carry out the PT sessions. If you paid back the funds you have unlawfully obtained from me. I will remove the review- it’s that’s simple. Just do the right thing.

Went to the gym for a day pass.....10 minutes in cancelled my pure gym membership, signed up with urban! Great atmosphere friendly team, amazing equipment.
