David Lloyd Hatfield

This David Lloyd club is probably one of the best in the country. The service of the people (Charlotte) and co working at the reception is just great, friendly, and fantastic, then you have Lee & Natalie leadimg the CrossFit (Battlebox) for individuals or families, or one parent and child (8 years old+) is just incredibly good, they best instructors I have ever meet from all David Lloyd Clubs I have been before. I am sure that I visted more than 10 David Lloyd for sure, Lee & Natalie were fun, dynamic and full of energy, and my son loved their coaching energy. Definitely, and different exercising option. Also, the ladies at the bar, very friendly, polite, and offer a great customer service. I think David Lloyd and their HR should be proud of the people working in this club.
Great swiming pool, tennis instructors, tennis courts, and of course de Gym, very clean and very clean toilets.

Exceptional service and staff very friendly and helpful. Centre great. Swimming pool virtually empty so it felt like we had the pool to ourselves.We visited for the first time today.. forgot our babymat and they located it within minutes. Just love the helpfulness of their staff. Makes a huge difference when a company gets their customer service right.

I have to agree with a lot of the reviews written here, I’ve had experiences when it’s nice and clean but also not up to standard. Lately the standard of cleaning has been terrible, restaurant service and food very poor quality/taking too long. Definitely requires refurbishment for David Lloyd standard. As a member of David Lloyd clubs for 15 years, I was thinking of rejoining my now nearest club but it’s not meeting good enough standards for membership price. Please feedback to senior management they really need to consider refurbishing especially for their supposedly headquarter club - happy to pay the price of membership and would prefer to do so in return for an environment feel like walking into exercise and relax.

Have previously only had good experience here but am very disappointed upon my recent visit. I used my monthly guest pass to bring my mum here to use the spa facilities. Upon signing her in she filled out the electric form stating it was the spa facilities she had come for.

When we got there both the hot tub and the aromatherapy room were out of order. The hot tub had been out of order for 10 days which there was no information on upon entry to the club. With only the basic available at this time we would have instead visited another location, but now won’t have the chance as my guest pass has now been used.

Upon explaining this to the front desk staff when leaving they apologised and confirmed that they knew these facilities were out of order. When I said I would have liked to know this so we could have gone to another location with my guest pass they said I could have rung them before. I’m sorry but I do not expect to have to call beforehand to check if club facilities are in order action before every visit!

My mum and her partner will definitely be sticking to Odyssey gym!! Starting to wish I had joined there too.

Wished it stayed open till a bit later but other than that great gym. The only thing I wish was a bit more updated compared to other DL gyms is the spa area as not much on offer that you can't get from the lower membership options.

Fantastic gym, first came here when it first opened when it was Next Generation for an awards ceremony and we renamed it the "hangover" rather than the hanger.
Fabulous facilities, extremely clean and so very spacious.

Good gym with racket and swimming options. Great little sauna and jacuzzi area for adults. Equipment in the gym is a little tired. Good classes and great staff

It's a great gym with so much space.
Lots of machines and weights, tennis courts, and studios with different classes.
The spa is a bonus and if you're a platinum member It's luxury at your fingertips, well worth it.
The changing room has adult and family areas. Everything is clean and well-maintained.
You can spend the whole day here with family and friends
