I usually go to the leisure park one. But to my surprise, the grafton gym seems to be better.

The machines are newer and more diverse, the locker rooms and showers are modern and well maintained, and it’s less crowded on Sunday mornings.

The only catastrophe is the lack of the massage chair 😭. So please if you are reading this review make sure to add one.

This PureGym is like every other. Untidy and disorganised with insensitive staff who fail to enforce the rules.

Worth the money but only because the monthly payments are so low that you very much get what you pay for. That being a dirty, humid gym consisting primarily of either ‘roided out short guys who are trying to prove themselves or lonely old dudes who leer at the women.

At least it isn’t the Cambridge Leisure Centre PureGym. Somehow, that one is worse.

Great gym, would be even better if it became 24/7. Very nice atmosphere. I really get the vibe that all are welcome

At the moment (while we await the refurb) it's better than the Cambridge Leisure Park gym. It smells and feels fresher and cooler (the air con works!), the showers are better, with individual cubicles (albeit with frosted glass doors!) The lockers are made out of wood and are more substantial and less battered and broken than the tin ones at the Leisure Park. At 9am, it was quieter than the Leisure Park one usually is at the same time, even though it was serving both sets of members because the Leisure Park is closed for refurbishment. There were Preacher curl benches that the other one doesn't have and the weight benches were also better, as well as having proper squat racks/cages and deadlift platforms. I do like the separate and quieter stretching room at the Leisure Park whereas here everything is all in together and it's a bit of a panopticon, so if you want to go off and attempt a weight/move that you might fail embarassingly, you can't do it away from everyone! It STILL doesn't have Saftey squat bars, which is a real shame and the treadmills still don't do programmable interval sprints. Other than that, at the moment it is a better gym than the Leisur Park one, so we'll have to see how the refurb of that one goes.

Every hour feels like peak hour. It’s so crowded it’s genuinely offputting. But it’s dirt cheap so you get what you pay for I guess – after all, despite my complaints, I’ve been a member on and off for years…

Really like it the choice of equipment and the space is perfect
Only thing i wary of is hygiene could not see cleaning spray to wipe down equipment after use high possibility of catching something , but other than that got no complaints

This is the most unprofessional gym ever - changing Xmas eve opening times on the day! See photo!

The taps in the men's toilets don't work and have not been working for OVER 2 weeks. Furthermore, they have people coming over from the Leisure center puregym coming to grafton, so it is VERY busy; a lot of people using the toilets and not able to wash their hands and using the machines and weights! This is disgusting and needs to be reported...

Wide range of equipment, both cardio and weights, which was all well spaced out. It was not hard to socially distance and I never really had to wait to use any equipment. Staff were easily identifiable if you needed any help. There’s a wide variety of memberships available, all great value, including the option of a day pass. As I’m not always in Cambridge frequently, it’s great to find a gym in the city that offers such great value day passes that can be bought with minimum of fuss online. The only negative was that that sanitation station, so you can wipe down equipment, had not been refilled.
