Excellent changing facilities with two accessible changing rooms, one with hoist and table for disabled adults.
Poolside the floor is textured and non slip.
Plenty of lifeguards around and they're very quick when needed.
They often charge you for missing classes even after swiping in or threaten to cancel your swimming privileges. I have never even been late before never mind missed one so this is annoying to have to register official complaints online every time to get fees refunded and blocks removed.
Finding times to swim with the kids is pretty difficult too. After school the earliest the teaching pool opens is 7pm which is rather late for young children. Of course this is greed again as they have back to back swimming lessons bringing money in and free use of the pools for members is not on their priority list. Even in school holidays they have under 5 sessions in the teaching pool which is really irritating when you have one child under 5 and one child at 7. They both would be fine in a teaching pool family session but other than weekends these are always set at inconvenient times for the 4 year old.
The facilities themselves are actually good which is a shame as management are totally ruining what could be a good experience with extreme greed that makes you feel ripped off as a member. I shall definitely not be renewing that's for sure.
Went in today and was confronted by a member of staff who informed me, bags are not allowed on the gym floor, even though it has been a non-issue on my 5 other visits. When I queried this and asked why I didn't get told this by any other members of staff I was simply told "well they haven't been doing their job then".
Found the member of staff to be unnecessarily abrasive and frankly as someone who does take training seriously and uses a variety of personal equipment session to session e.g. lifting belt, weightlifting shoes, knee sleeves, foam roller, chalk, resistance bands to name a few, that this facility clearly isn't meant for me or anyone that takes their training more seriously than turning up with just a water bottle.
Hats off to the other staff who I had some pleasant albeit small interactions with.
See the attached picture for my recommendation on what to do if you're a member here who takes training seriously.
