Pay £90 a month, and David Lloyds can’t even bother with having adequate security.
Both the entry and exit barriers are broken.
Disgusting service my managers, no empathy.
Will not be renewing my membership.
The good bits-
- the facilities: steam rooms, saunas, indoor and outdoor heated pool, outdoor heated jacuzzi, good cafe, quiet work area, etc.
The bad bits-
- health and safety: the parasols in the outdoor area fell on my twice, despite only a very gentle breeze, the second time around causing me a bruise on my chest as the rib punctured me. Lifeguard just sits there and does nothing. No proper weights on them. They still left them up with no proper weights after the incident.
- customer service: when I went to complain, I was forced to complete a very lengthy injury form for the benefit of the company, while I sat there in pain. I was told I was speaking with the assistant general manager who it turned out wasn’t, so I was lied to. I was then told someone would contact me back by COP to extend my membership by another few weeks, which also didn’t happen. You spend ages trying to call the phone line and no one ever picks up- try it yourself before signing up. In the end, I was never given the membership extension I needed as I was on holiday when it ended. So wasted a load of my time for nothing. Completely shocked they expect you to pay over £100 a month for this.
As someone who has tried all the gym brands, I’d advise going elsewhere like Virgin Active or Fitness First who offer good customer service, you’ve been warned!
I’ve sent over my details for a call back, I sent one November 2021 and didn’t get a response, let’s see if I get a reply from this one.
I have been attending this gym for over a year now and these benches or machines have not been repaired or upgraded.
I don't know who managed the budget for the spa renovation but they are spending money in the wrong places. You can't be a top tier gym when you have duct tape on seats and the majority of your benches and equipment are falling apart.
Head office really need to have stricter quality controls on how their gyms look.
They should provide refund when the service offered in the contract aren’t really being offered.
When a complaint is made, all they say someone will get in touch with you and then they forget about it.
Only solution is to stop direct debit, if they charge to penalty then take them to court.

The rooms are spacious and equipments are new.
I tried their three eggs omelette and honestly it was one of the best omelettes I ever had.
Everyone I spoke to was friendly and helpful.
The club has a great chill atmosphere, loads of features and facilities. Quality is good too. I'm a happy puppy. Thanks D.L. ✌️😊
I then used the sauna and steam room. It was very relaxing, not too crowded and there was very spacious changing facilities.
