My main quibble is lack of visible staff to oversea things, to correct misuse of equipment, or to speak to if required
Also, there is never enough anti-bacterial liquid to wipe down equipment, so people don’t bother anymore (I’m not sure of the rules about cleaning the equipment).
Finally, the piped music in the men’s changing room is very loud for some reason. I actually think that there’s no need for any piped music or videos in the gym, as most people are listening to other stuff on their earphones and buds.
You get an access code & enter as you wish.
The place is clean most of the time, they have a cleaner now. They have just upgraded some equipment which is nice to see. Toilets are ok, showers, lockers, changing rooms as expected.
There are personal trainers, you can book a session via the app you wish.
The classes start from 7am, once again, check the app.
The app shows you how to use certain equipment or how to exercise from home if you cannot make it to the gym.
Overall I’m happy, esp now they have upgraded the rowing machines upstairs & added some new ones & the cleanliness has improved.
Parking is also available just next to the gym. It does get very busy at times. It would be fab, if they painted new lanes as the current ones are fading & the cars sometimes park a cross 2 spaces.
It would be great to be approached by the PT just to find out how to use certain equipment - from time to time.
But what's worse is the fact at late evenings, the only time I can come here, people bring in their own aux cable and connect to the speakers to play their own loud music.
Awful. People just ruin this place, and the team seem to do nothing about it. Personal trainers are in and don't enforce anything.
My only criticism is that there aren’t enough showers but that isn’t a problem with the times I go anyway.
The location is great and there is ample parking.
The weights were mostly on the floor none were put back on the rack in the right place, machines we're lacking parts making them redundant but there were no " out of order" signs on them.
Im sure the gym isn't always in that state , but allowing it to get there even at peak times shows a very low lvl of care for its users by management .
