A proper gym. No health care frills, just quality equipment and lots of heavy weights. Classes here during the week and a boxing ring as well. 6 squat racks, plenty of bars, a LOT of weight plates and even a running track and strongman equipment. The guys and girls here are absolute monsters, but a real community feel. If you're in the area and need a proper gym, then no B.S., this is it.
And membership is stupidly cheap for the area

The gym itself is very well equipped and has everything you need for a good workout. It has a good feel to it, a 'no nonsense' approach. The membership options are very flexible and well priced compared to other gyms I have looked at. It's not the cheapest when you compare it to PureGym etc, but it's got more equipment than the places I have seen.

The only problem I have with the gym is the changing rooms, specifically the lockers. I have to get changed for work (suit/shirt) but the lockers are so small you cannot hang anything inside them so I have to either leave it all in the car and get it after the workout or hang it on the outside of lockers therefore blocking access to others. Out of 20 or so lockers, only 3 have working locks and keys, the rest are not lockable which is rediculous. The lockers are also not attached to the wall which is dangerous and have almost fallen on me several times. Something needs to be done! Could also do with more bench space in the changing room as once you have 3 guys in there, it's pretty crowded.

I love the old style feel to the gym, but most of the lockers are broken in the changing room, along with the sofa in the mens changing room which needs throwing away or replacing. Some members seem to have no respect to others. Frequently has no soap or hand towels at the sink. Basics have to be achieved before it can be considered a great gym.

Very good gym with good equipment and plenty of space. PTs are friendly and general atmosphere is good. Gym team regularly tidy the gym after those that seem unable to put the equipment back where they found it or find the bins for their rubbish. Equipment is fixed quickly if breaks and have steady flow of new kit. Open 24hours a day provides great flexibility. One of the best gyms I’ve been to.

There’s a long list of reasons this gym isn’t worthy of its 4 star rating or its £42 membership. Mainly the lack of care put in by staff to maintain the gym - it’s dirty and 80% broken. Things take months to be repaired (or bodge job fixed), the speakers don’t work properly or at all, the showers are minging, music selection is very limited and sometimes not even playing, equipment is dirty and poorly maintained - oil was brushed on the foot pads to make them appear shiny and new (huge health and safety issue), the toilets are an abomination - never any soap, rarely toilet roll, no blue roll or dryers to dry hands with after washing, members of the public are letting themselves in and breaking equipment leaving electrics exposed with no warning signs, people vaping on the gym floor, staff sit on their phones behind the desk and make no effort to keep the gym clean and tidy or show initiative for any improvements, flooring is a huge issue also - trip hazards everywhere from eroding and some part even have concrete exposed so it’s uneven making machines wobbly which is a concern, the dumbbells have sharp edges and cut members clothing and skin - this has been a problem for years and nothing has been sorted/no one has been reimbursed for their ripped clothing due to poor maintenance, some machines/squat racks are far too close together with plates flung around the floor - another injury waiting to happen! And that’s just the physical side of the gym. It can be a very intimidating place to be for women wanted to join and start their fitness journey, with groups of topless men grunting and being generally unfriendly/judgey. The admin is awful, taking days if not weeks to reply to emails, memberships are being cancelled left, right and centre but members are still being charged for MONTHS without reimbursement even though they’ve followed all protocols for terminating memberships. Just generally feels very unloved and the atmosphere is terrible. I’ve never been so unmotivated to train in my life. It’s a boring place to be and it’s gone majorly downhill in the last few years. Really disappointing.

Will not let you cancel and will continue to charge you 42 pounds a month even if you delete your account. Staff do not answer the phones and will only respond to you to take money.

Spacious, friendly and unique.

This gym is very spacious, meaning there isn’t the issue of waiting for equipment or feeling to close to someone .

The staff are friendly and helpful and it feels like a community.

The gym has also undergone some changes to decor recently which are great

Would recommend .

Brilliant gym, now open 24/7! All the equipment you need and more! Great team of staff and atmosphere. Being such a good size, no matter how busy it is you can keep training without having to wait around like a lot of other gyms to get in equipment.
