PureGym London Wall

On Saturdays and Sundays, the gym is fairly quiet at its right in the heart of the city. On week days, it's so busy. Right after work finishes, the gym is packed out. There's queues for machines, weights space.

There's plenty of weights and machines to use. The free weights are pretty much always in the right place. Then gym is clean as the the changing rooms, showers and toilets.

There's drinks machines selling water and protein shakes just after the entrance. As well as free towels.

When going via the lifts, there's no sign saying where the gym is. It's LG2!

This is a fantastic gym, I cannot rate it enough! Due to covid I left and went to another big chain close to home, however I am so glad to be back here. The facilities are new, clean, fresh, working, all top spec and friendly staff and always a cleaner in sight. Good changing facilities, and decent showers. The gym offers towels so it has everything you need. So glad to be back! Awesome gym.

Air conditioning in their studio where classes are held is appalling. I would not expect this from a large chain and in City of London. During summer months it should be on full. Ruined my gym class as could hardly breathe as it is a small studio. For 2 months air con has been on low in this studio and it’s completely unacceptable as it is a basement gym. I should have free membership for 6 months as compensation. You tell staff there all they do is advise it’s the building management and shrug it off. Not impressed.

(UPDATE 1/11/22: This week the air conditioning has been fixed. The manager Ameet has worked hard to rectify the situation and kept me updated. Fingers crossed the fix lasts this time. I have updated this review from 1* to 4*)

There are always air conditioning problems at this London Wall Pure Gym location (as per numerous other complaints below).

I have spoken to staff numerous times about this issue so they are fully aware. Currently there are fans (evaporative coolers, not to be confused with a/c units) dotted around the place to circulate the warm damp air. It’s not pleasant. I’ve now reduced number of times that I visit as I find it too uncomfortable to exercise in.

To be clear the air con issues have been here for the entire time I have been a member (3 years) with short periods of it working. The a/c issue is most definitely not a recent thing despite what the response to this comment may suggest.

This warm summer has been the worst bearing in mind that the gym is in the basement with no windows or etc.

I would avoid this gym unless a proper fix is found for the a/c rather than the usual sticking plaster.

On the plus side the staff are always very welcoming and friendly.

Cancelling my membership today. I’ve complained numerous times to staff about air conditioning and it falls on deaf ears as do these other reviews. I have asthma and this is not a safe environment for me to train in. I shouldn’t be sweating after a cold shower once I’ve finished a session in the changing rooms. This gym is not safe for anyone with any mild-moderate health conditions and I will be reporting pure gym London wall after months of not listening to customers. If you’re new and thinking of joining do not join this gym unless you have an ice bath to bring with you!!!

Goof gym but very busy on certain hours. Grat managers and personal trainer whit a long time experience. You have all what you need in one place, Studio, spin studio, Fw area, cardio area, stretch area, calisthenics area, and free towel to take the shower.

They seriously need to update the WiFi in here. For an underground site where you cannot use mobile data to stay connected and stream your music it's vital to have high quality WiFi. The network in here is useless as soon as the place is even at a quarter of its capacity, a system that wouldn't even have been considered adequate 15 years ago.

Put in a proper gigabit FTTP connection and new access points please.

Great gym, I'd have given a 5 star rating if the gym was open for 24H or atleast until midnight.
