The staff and PTs are friendly, professional and welcoming. I'd give them 10 stars, not 5 !
But seriously, the condition of the gym is the worst out of all. For such an expensive membership I expect the kit to be fixed not covered with tape ( it's been like that for a while now). Massive difference between David Lloyd Colchester and Ipswich. I don't understand why the Ipswich club is so neglected .
Spa facilities are nice but the outdoor jacuzzi is not hot ! Can that be sorted?

Most staff are incredibly helpful and nice and deserve 5 stars, but unfortunately they have made the mistake of promoting a rude, snappy and sarcastic staff member to management.
I believe her roles also include health and safety management and responsibility for ensuring no-one gets negligently harmed.
I didn't realise those duties required someone to forget manners and respect for others.
I try to make sure I only attend when this particular staff member is not working!
Maybe a reality check is what she needs or some retraining courses? Maybe not!!

Outdoor pool and sauna are especially nice this time of year, water very clean. Staff are excellent, always ready to help if needed. Good choice of classes. Great place to exercise and to relax.

It's really good sport centre for family and individuals it has everything, but needs updating in coffeeteria and in the changing room the locking cabinets you need to have your own lock 🔐. Membership is quite expensive.

Be very careful when joining, as they will tell you you can cancel if circumstances change and you need to cancel. We did this last week, presented them the proof they requested, heard nothing else after. Tried to freeze the account for a while...nothing they carried on an took the money.
Try to ring yesterday and sort this out, no change...apparently they only take cals from new members on their first 2 weeks.
Old members...they clearly don't care about, or the fact they might need to pause for a bit or cancel...they only care about money .
Also they will put the price up with even a cutesy email to inform you. This is in January not when your membership renews yearly

Visited for my daughter's under 11 girls' singles grade 3 Christmas Tennis tournament. The rating is based upon the fact that they do not allow outside food indoors. Now, we were there for the event & we weren't having a feast with outside food (some munchies & toasties). I visited many other clubs & was never told off for such a reason. These tournaments are always entire day or multi day events, so we have to order all the food from their cafeteria only, is this justified?

Since December, they’ve decided to give memberships to half of Suffolk, outside pool, always closed and full of leaves, steam room and sauna inconsistent, Raised monthly membership price by 10% because they have new showers, while everything else is broken. Jacuzzi always has a yellow wire in it because it struggles to warm up, i would of never left if they didn’t raise the prices, but it’s very cheeky considering all the flaws.

Staff friendly, good kit and lots of it (although some of it is rusty with torn seats), and generally quite a nice atmosphere. My main problem is for the price you pay, the generally cleanliness is just unacceptable. My local leasure centre is far cleaner, and membership is about 1/5 of the price.

This is mainly in the changing rooms, pool, showers, spa area. I genuinely have to pick routes away from the high traffic areas because there is a thick coating of sock fluff and dirt. The showers have mildew, mould, nasal mucous on the tiles, tissues, toenails and other non-mentionables. I played a (boring) game, and the same plaster was on the floor of the main pool shower for about 5 days straight, hinting that it hadn't been properly cleaned in that long.

If this was a local council run pool you could maybe put up with this, but the membership fees of only few people could pay for a full time cleaner which would vastly improve the situation.

I'm not even that fussy usually, it just really is grim. I'm also not blaming the cleaning staff - this is a management/understaffing problem.

I've tried raising this privately a couple of times to management but the situation actually seems to have got worse recently.
