JD Gyms Wolverhampton

Great gym with lots of runing machines and treadmills also lots of space upstairs and great atmosphere but in my opinion not enough muscle-building machines.

So far the boxing bags are out of use yet again like every month.

Equipment broken on a regular which to a certain level is inevitable, but they will take up to a month to repair instead of days.
Parking is overrun due to classes at peak hours of the evening (6pm). You will 100% be given a parking ticket who threaten to use bailiffs to claim the money back like many members have experienced already.

We had a leak in the male showers which was ignored until the ceiling collapsed in the boxing area. so they are now repairing all the rotten wooden beams, shower floor, ceiling plaster ect.
This has been ongoing since the 17th of September and is still going on now (28th Today).

So we've had no male showers, no boxing equipment since the 17th. and now 2 out of order male cubicles toilets.

They are using majority of the male changing room as building storage until this has all been replaced.
and we are paying £20 a month with no compensation for this month.
JD GYM brought out there competitor Exercise 4 less, stole all there customers and then crammed them all into the Wolverhampton gym.
Honestly would avoid joining this gym.

Super great gym with everything you need. Even during peak times its possible to get machines and equipment.
I don't really attend the classes, but regular see them occur and know that they are packed with attendees and I'm assuming they enjoyed them.
The facilities are quite good, sauna and bathroom area smelled a bit when I first used it probably due to all the sweat... But daily cleaning of those areas also takes place.

Come to sign up , saw people getting their induction at their first time in which one of my friends who was invited by me was in but they refused to give me the induction neither show me how to book or use the app. While it was my first time. Spoke to one of the gym staff who said he hasn’t got time. So what’s the point of making people sign up for a membership and not being able to provide a quick induction to them.

A decent gym with a good variety of equipment however, the space needs to be utilised more efficiently as the environment feels crammed.

Number of machines out of order increasing daily. Cleanliness of the gym is getting worse. Parking has always been an issue, but is only getting worse. Due to the sheer volume of customers, the gym can no longer accommodate. Taking the customers from X4L, but no possibilities to extend, how did they think this would work? Great business for the organisation, but poor service for customers. The only reason I'm still a member is because its close to where I live, or I would've left by now if anything was closer in all honesty. More customers = more car parking issues = worse cleanliness = more machines breaking down. JD need to stay on top of this. The number of times staff members have walked past rubbish etc, customers are cleaning up after other customers. More needs to be done.

Fantastic facility, I would join in a heartbeat if not for the lack of available car or cycle parking, the carpark is shared with Iceland and home bargains so gets super busy can easily take 20 minutes to park, as for bikes there is a two rail rack that is not in view of the gym, such a shame as there is the space to have a secure cycle rack in the entrance, almost the perfect gym

JD gyms is one of the best commercial gyms out there. The equipment is amazing, the sauna is nice and relaxing and overall the PTs are friendly and helpful.
