DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM!
They are happy to quickly get you signed up, however when you want to leave you have to prove with documentation that you don’t live within 10 miles of another gym. My husband has gone to Croatia to work he froze the account which has become active and now we have to wait till NEXT YEAR to leave when we don’t even live near this gym anymore! Nor want to have membership anymore! Don’t do it there are other gyms where you can leave so much easier and save money.

Very poor overall, very disappointed with the gym very small and poor equipment compared to the membership price. Very proactive when getting you to join always call when expected happy to help but if you want to cancel this isn’t the same story.Upon cancellation was told full and immediate refund will be paid.. one month later after this, refund hasn’t been made and are now trying to not refund joining fee. They arranged a call to discuss this but never came through, In fact no contact at all. Now are just withholding the full year’s payment for me and my partner for some unknown reason?

Very poor customer service, cancelled my membership in mine and my partners cooling off period. I was told immediate and full refund, 1 month later I still have not received my refund of a substantial amount of money, and am being passed around from person to person being told different things and even requested a call back from the membership team which was booked then never happened. Management and customer service is very very poor would not recommend.

The gym itself is reasonably well equipped and large enough to cope with demand at busy times. Some machines are in need of replacing and matt equipment (exercise balls / bosu balls ect) are absent or in limited supply. The pool, although small is a nice temperature and the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna are nice extras. The classes are very good, instructors are amazing and the spin / cycle room is fantastic. They have recently upgraded the changing room, but the showers are in need of refurbishment. Generally, the cleanliness in the showers is poor with hair and stains left on the doors and walls of the cubicles for days at a time.

Regarding management response to complaints and concerns, there is work needed. An incident involving a woman filming herself (and others) in the women's changing rooms was reported to staff and concerns were brushed aside with no action taken. When improvements in the gym were underway, the noise levels were well above legal exposure limits and neither gym users nor employees were provided with ear protection - something as simple as ear plugs would have been enough for the length of time of the work was being undertaken, but none were provided and management seemed uninterested or unaware of their responsibility to gym users and their own employees.

The Oxford David Lloyd gym is very expensive at nearly £100 per month. The Oxford gym is not as nice and is less well equipped than other gyms around the country and so I feel it is not very good value for money and I have since cancelled my membership.

Classes here are incredible ! Gym floor is very clean and open.

Pool is a bit on the cooler side but a good size and very nice sauna, steam and jacuzzi

Quality gym with excellent facilities. It's expensive, but you get value for money if you regularly attend exercise classes. The staff are lovely, always polite and work hard to keep on top of things.

Poor customer service, showers smells nasty ! Not what you expect in the club with such price !
Classes were nice , gym equipment nothing unussual. Expectations were higher
Did a trial in summer wanted to bring children to try and to see if improved over the summer however the trial was cancelled with no refund given!
Feels like I was scamed !

The club has great facilities, pleasant friendly staff and members.
However communication with anyone to point out an issue is via chat on an app which never gets answered. Email responses take over two weeks.
I upgraded my membership and have paid the higher rate for 3 month yet I’m told this is not showing on the systems . Front desk staff have no ability to change this .
What about having people in your club or available by phone who can take care of things in reasonable time frame?
