This gym is the most friendly gyms in the world, the guys and girls do anything to help you pointing out top and hints if you require or smash you head phones on and away you go. The kit is good proper good kit, the members are all awesome talkative helpful but not intrusive! Will be back once a month. And if was closer to me would join without hesitation cheers guys! Great gym, loads of kit and NO egos! Personal trainers who understand your goals but give you the tools to train alone too. Both me and a couple of friends have seen Tim there for injury/ operation rehab with some great results. They also do a great "strongman" sessions on Sunday mornings for a fiver!

Approached RWF 6 months ago for personal training, as someone who was very overweight and little gym experience. Couldn't have been made more welcome and have not looked back since. Love my PT sessions and now use gym regularly too. Cannot recommend the team here highly enough they have knowledge and passion!

I have been going to the gym regularly for about a year now after years of avoiding the gym for multiple reasons - mostly my own mental blocks of not wanting to put in the work, not having time, etc but a few because of being intimidated by my perception of what a gym is like.

I went to 3 or 4 gyms in the first few months including one of the well known chain health clubs in Nottingham and encountered multiple problems: lack of equipment for the amount of people that go there (squat racks, benches, no deadlift platforms, etc), not enough free weights and generally finding the atmosphere and environment intimidating or cold in some way. To be fair larger gyms can suffer from this as there isn't really a social aspect because of the larger size/volume of people but either way it didn't make me feel entirely comfortable.

Once I heard about Real World Fitness and saw the place first-hand I signed up straight away and haven't looked back once. It has no issues with equipment and has all the facilities you'd expect at the gym but more importantly has an atmosphere that makes you want to be in the gym every day. The personal trainers, and each and every member smiles at you when you walk in, asks you how your day was and everybody is respectful of the equipment and each other.

Whilst at RWF I have developed a passion for power-lifting, and aided by the guidance of Tim (my PT) and Derran, the other PT's and indeed a few of the other members it has changed my view on exercise and the gym entirely - a year ago I had never entered a gym (nor did I think I wanted to!) but now I want to be there everyday and I intend to enter a powerlifting competition next year - and I know everybody at RWF will support me along the way.

I would recommend this gym. It’s a friendly place to train. I’ve been going for about 6 months and haven’t noticed any egos or other gym weirdness. It’s a good mix of men and ladies just getting on lifting heavy things on barbells. It’s not a machine place but has plenty of racks and benches. There are several PTs who are friendly, knowledgeable and always are ready to lend a hand. There is also a physio on hand to help sort out any problems.

I’ve been helped by Derran (PT), who has taught me how to squat, bench press and do a variety of dead lifts without getting hurt. As a novice who has a few previous injuries and health issues, it’s been reassuring to have support and carefully considered guidance to help me progress.

There’s also free proper coffee on the go, all the time.

It’s a good place.

Clean, friendly gym with tons of top quality equipment means rarely waiting for a squat rack or bench. Expert PT from Derran plus physio & nutrition advice from the onsite team have got me back to training regularly without injury. Fresh coffee, interesting music and seeing the wide range of people training here going after their goals is always motivational!

Great gym, very friendly, good range of lifting equipment, supportive atmosphere and lots of female lifters. Derran is an experienced and supportive coach who has helped me build confidence and improve my strength and lifting skills.

There's only good things to say about RWF! It's a spacious place, nicely decorated, lots of facilities available, never too crowded, always neat and tidy. (I need to say it's a hidden gem and I hope it stays like that haha :D )
If you choose to get personal training, I definitely recomend it! Always on time, super friendly, perfect teaching for movements and always there for any questions or concerns.
It's worth every penny, both the gym and the PT sessions.
