However, I have been going to ShireFit now for 3 weeks and can hand on heart say I love it.
Such a community spirit, fantastic coaches and a great workout every time. All the exercises are so varied and can be completely tailored to your level of fitness.
For anyone interested in giving it a go, I can highly recommend popping in and seeing for yourself.
I’ve been training here for over a year now and can say my progression is insane when I look back at the first day I walked through the door considering I had no experience of being in a gym environment.
Skill level is something that always makes it daunting to start in any new gym and all the coaches ensure you scale and work at your own ability whilst helping you to build up. You’ll be coached to a very high standard with the coaches taking time during training sessions to focus on you.
The gym equipment and facilities are immaculately kept and regularly maintained. The gym also runs various workshops & seminars run by external coaches which supplement your training which is a great bonus.
Community is a cliche word but it’s very much fostered here through coaches who organise and run events including multiple fund raising events which members take part in.
When completing workouts all members have the ethos of ensuring we all finish it together. It’s very common to find people who’ve finish ahead stood next to you supporting you to the finish line.
I had a month at home over the Christmas holidays as I work away, whilst I was home I needed a gym. The obvious ones such as Pure/ virgin ect were all valid options. My girlfriend told me about Nene Training as she had seen it on IG.
I thought I'd head down do a session see what it was about and if it wasn't for me go for one of the more mainstream gyms.
I was blown away by the attitude of the staff, the friendliness of the other members, the real sense of community within their walls, the range of equipment and space.
The team of people who run this place are incredibly welcoming for all ranges of ability. I've seen them run sessions for people who are weathered pros to people who are starting out and made the sessions challenging and rewarding for both parties.
They have a real enthusiasm for their members and the sessions they run. Not some made up motivational BS, but a real genuine investment into helping people achieve their goals and push forward. Assisted by high levels of coaching and mentoring skills.
Whenever I'm back I will for sure head down to this place again.
If you want to make real progress over 2023, have challenging well thoughtout workouts and feel like part of a community. This gym is for you.
I joined a few weeks back and absolutely love it. Apart from the getting up at 5.20am 🤣
I used to go to another well known gym for a number of years, however I never had any structure and never really knew what I was doing, so it felt like I was turning up for the sake of it. Still enjoyed it though.
COVID hit and I didn’t work out for 18 months, and it had a big impact on my mental well being, like many of you as you can imagine.
Due to some lifestyle changes I’ve now been able to join CrossFit in Wellingborough and it’s the best decision I’ve made.
1.All the members are so welcoming and there is a massive camaraderie, which I didn’t get at the “other gym”
2.Everyone wants you to do well and encourages you, which gives you that extra mental strength you need for that one last rep. (honestly wouldn’t push myself like that if I was still at the “other gym”)
3.The coaches are just brilliant. They constantly help and train you on your technique, which is so important, more so as a newbie for me, and give you that encouragement and support you need too. Nothing is too much for them.
I have been welcomed into the group and cant see myself going anywhere else now.
I have also worked out harder and better than I ever have and look forward to the results, although I know sure about the amount of chocolate I eat helps. 😉
