Beautiful church, have been here many times over the years. The grounds are beautiful and the church itself is steeped in history. Great for kids as lots of hiding places and places to have a picnic

Beautiful abbey with a lot of interesting history including the 1066 king Harold link. Nice grounds /ruins. Visited the bell tower and accessed the abbey roof for stunning views on my visit. Also interior including roof is really worth a look.

Wasn’t able to enter church due to lockdown restrictions, but what I saw in the grounds including Harold’s grave, was really interesting and the info boards dotted around really help you understand the abbey ruins.

A lovely historic church with associated ruins, supposedly the burial site of King Harold (site at rear of church in graveyard). Free entry and a public car park across the road. Do catch the historic gatehouse as well

Came here for a wedding. Church is absolutely breathtaking if architecture is your thing. Priest is quite a character too. I don't do Sunday Mass, but if I did...

I grew up hearing the abbey bells ringing every day . Fantastic church . Check the stone floor just outside the church some slabs are old grave stones . Look around theres lots of hidden history to be spotted by the open eye.

I always get taken away by the beauty of this church and it’s surroundings. I love going for a walk and just admiring the structures and design.
