Beautiful church with a lot of history. Always kept clean and tidy, very peaceful to visit if you need a quiet moment to yourself or just somewhere to go and have a look. Great with local schools too 🙂

This is a beautiful and ancient church. It is filled with so much history and one can enjoy its charm and spend time in meditation. There are numerous stained glass windows such asThe Children's Window, The Communion Window both by Kempe and the Baptism Window and the Confirmation Window both by Henning. These are in the South Aisle. It is interesting to look
at the tombstone of Rebecca Rogers as it records her disapproval of the chimney tax and an exacting landlord. You are able to purchase detailed guides of the history of the church and St Eanswythe.
I attended an exhibition of art work by local artists from FAS today which was very interesting. There is a wide range of subjects and techniques. I particularly liked the portraits by Maddy Swan and Nicola Barratt's "Hare I thought I saw". All the artists have created a fantastic display. Well done!

Although I haven't visited this church for years, it was a VERY special place to seek some tranquillity in the chaos of modern Folkestone. I lived in The Metropole, on The Lee's, for almost 32 months...and regularly sought out this church for quiet contemplation.

Wonderful sense of history and you will feel that you are in a precious and beautiful place.

The attached picture belongs to another poster. Hellie Reumkens.

I have changed the orientation to the correct perspective and have informed Google Maps about Hellie's photographic problem. Quite why it wasn't corrected before is a puzzle?

Interesting early history of Folkestone. Informative guides. Good to know that after hundreds of years a worshipping community continues here.

Beautiful church with lots of history attached. Unfortunately suffering from lack of funds to carry out internal repairs that are needed. Wonderful atmosphere at the concert I attended there.

A pretty church on the edge of the town center. The staff are friendly and are happy to tell you all about the church's history. They have regular concerts there, often with an excellent choir.

People were very helpful at the church and some wonderful glass designs mid victorian and 14th century.
