I write to complain that this Church (St. Andrews of Herbert Road, Wimbledon SW19 3SQ) has badly let us down. I went into this Church on Sunday the 11th of February 2018 at approximately 2.00pm and was insulted by the Chinese woman whom holds the keys to the Church. My wife and I needed to pray and as this is our local Church and we have lived in this area of Wimbledon for 10 years and paid Council Tax to support this Church we have a right to visit it. We were quickly told to leave in a very insulting way because we are not Chinese and they had finished their Chinese service and wanted to lock the doors. There were many Chinese people standing around in the Church and we were not the last to leave.. The Chinese woman was very rude and said we must not stay because they hold the keys and their service was now over. My wife insisted she was there to pray due to family deaths and her bereavement and she was heckled by the Chinese woman whom angrily gave my wife a few minutes. It is outrageous and very racist. I post a severe complaint which must be heard that local people such as my wife and I should not be treated in this way. If the Church is up for rent then why don't you post a big board outside and inform the residents of the area that their local Church is out of bounds because the Chinese people have paid for it to conduct their Sunday afternoon service and we (non Chinese) are not welcome at all.

I walked only 2 minutes from my home to this Church and looked for information so I could contact the Vicar but there is nothing. This Church does not serve the local community and the service is only Sunday mornings as the Chinese take the Church in the afternoon. and they are very rude. I hope the local community read this as it is outrageous that we can be treated so badly just because we want to pay to God in our local Church and we are prevented from doing so and insulted when we insist that we must be allowed to even if it is only for 5 minutes.

Wonderful church, friendly congregation, welcoming to all. Offers both traditional and contemporary services every Sunday. Play and Pray for children on Mondays is excellent! Also a great venue to hire for music events.

It doesn't look like the picture! Social distancing with the doors open for air and everyone masked up, no singing. But good nonetheless.

A Church with the expectation that God will meet with and minister to and through his people in word and spirit. Coffee's pretty good too.. :)
9am traditional worship
