St Lawrence's Church, Little Stanmore

This grade I Listed church certainly merits attention with an unique interior, configuration and history.
The overtly theatrical elements and gestures a testament to the peculiar vision, indulgence and indomitable will of the powerful local grandee.
Evocative and pulsing with hubris here.. and so quiet.. you can almost hear the South Sea Bubble pop.
An active community.
Guided tours on certain days.
Recommended.

Loved this church and chapel. We were given tour by local writer who told us many interesting stories and facts from history.

Beautiful Church, gorgeous artwork & history. The Mass I attended was lovely, & the Dear Lady it was for would have been delighted with it. God Bless her.

A beautiful church in the baroque style internally. Without looks like a rural countryside.

Is there a choir? I like that singing to the lord

Father Paul is delightful still, he's been there for over 30 years. Besides the services and sermons, he has terrific knowledge about the neighborhood, Handel and the Duke of Chandos who is buried there as well.
It's a cute little church. Go. Enjoy!
