Firstly, just an absolutely stunning Church, historic features and completely filled with character and fine detail! Secondly, the vergers and all whom work at this church are so welcoming and friendly! Making you feel part of a big family at the church! Worth going to no matter what what your beliefs, just a beautiful place to welcome faith into your life.

This is a most beautiful church at the heart of the High Barnet community, with a deep history. Having lived in the community for three years, I have visited on a number of occasions, for Easter service, to share surplus food for the coffee morning and just to walk into the calm of the beautiful interior with the light shining through the beautiful stained glass windows. There is also a noticeboard of great use with varied services and events always available for the community. On some occasions, however, I have found the church staff to be lacking in organisation, proper safety and friendliness. When the bell tower was opened for visits, there was a failure to post notice of the health and safety concerns regarding the steps for any visitors. It was extremely disorganised and no safety information was provided whatsoever. On another occasion, upon offering to volunteer and help with any work that may be needed, I was met with a cold and mistrustful reply and milked of an idea that I offered to them freely, and then treated in a most disrespectful and derogatory, misogynistic fashion. As with all churches, one must always enjoy the beauty and service they offer, but with a pinch of salt, remembering that even in the Christian community, community and love can falter.

This church always wakes me up at 9:00am so I can’t even sleep for a couple of hours more thanks to this church. This church should shut down as it has no consideration for other people who have been working very extreme long hours and doesn’t give a damn, such horrible people

A formidable and distinctive presence astride Barnet Hill and dominant on the main road.
Extensively renovated and incorporating fabric from earlier incarnations by the formidable doyen of ecclesiastical architecture and pioneer of High Gothic Revivalism, William Butterfield in 1875.
Grade II Listed featuring flint stones and arresting flamboyant chequerwork.
An active congregation here.
