Portsmouth (Cowplain) PDSA Pet Hospital

Last night at 10 - 11 our dog Buddy Suddenly collapsed out of nowhere and we called the PDSA Out of hours for them only to send us to Vets Now. They didn’t have the equipment to help him or the medication so they sent us home and told us to take him in the morning. Knowing full well he’d had a seizure out of nowhere, his gums were pale and he was borderline Hyperthermic or cold as they said.

They told us to keep him in a dark room, cover him in blankets and we did. But his back legs went this morning around 7am and his breathing got worse. Unfortunately he passed away because we were sent home. We would have gladly of went to PDSA in Cowplain because maybe then he’d still be here..

They saved my girls life after she developed pyrometer. Thank you can never be enough!

Wonderful staff who go the extra mile . My pet couldn't have better care.

I had to take my very elderly dog, Lily, to the Cowplian PDSA hospital today to have her put to sleep. I cannot thank the staff enough for how accommodating, kind and caring they were. The nurse who saw us was so lovely and made sure the whole procedure was stress free for both me and Lily. I was able to hold her as she passed and say my goodbyes privately after. Lily was calm and I could not have wished for a more caring and considerate environment for her to have spent her last moments.

They do a great job for the animals and what you pay is peanuts really, I always pat more than I should a they help all my dogs and cats

I came here with my poorly dog but unfortunately left without him today , it wasn't for the lack of trying to save him by the vets , The staff here are so brilliant beautiful ppl that tried everything they could to save my Chihuahua but when I had to make that choice the staff were so understanding and compassionate and couldn't do enough for me ,and I thank them all for trying their best for my Teddy RIP 🙏🏼👍🏼💙

Last year they saved my storms life when she got pyometra, on Monday my frank was struggling to walk, and they put him to sleep, the were kind and caring and my frank died peaceful

Very kind staff, who were lovely to my cat at his final visit, I couldn't recommend this branch of the Pdsa enough 😊
