*Edit: The team has been in touch since my review to ask that I remove it which out of principle I won't do. However, I will say that they have promised learnings and improvements for the future which I appreciate.*

Unfortunately, I have not had a good experience living at a Vonder flat in Hill House London. The two positives - a rooftop view and friendly concierge staff, both of which are unrelated to the Vonder team. I have put off writing this review a few times, but the poor experience has continued and I have had enough.

We paid over £2000/month upfront for three months (which is very expensive, even for London and especially for Archway) to live in a flat very different from the one advertised on the Vonder website. It is modern but small, on the 2nd floor and with a 'view' of the back of a shisha bar which is very loud. We were drawn in by the location being near to Hampstead Heath but the reality is you are in Archway, which is a very rough part of the city. People use the entrance to the building as a toliet/drug exchange/rubbish dump and about 6 weeks ago someone was stabbed just outside. I have lived in London for 9 years and I'm fully aware that this is not uncommon, and a deep-rooted problem with society rather than Vonder's fault but to charge such high prices and market the building as 'luxury' is immoral.

The Vonder Community Team, who claim to live in the building although I have never seen them in person, have provided pretty appalling service. The flat had numerous problems when we arrived - the toilet was broken, we were missing crockery, marks all over the floor/walls etc. These issues were not fixed for several weeks after we notified them and I was even asked to take a daily video of the toliet to prove it. I have been trying to reach the team more recently to discuss the next steps with regards to the end of my tenancy (they were very quick to respond initially at the prospect of this being extended, which of course is not happening) and they are now being very slow to make time to talk despite their knowledge of some unfortunate circumstances regarding my partner leaving the flat.

Perhaps there is an issue with understaffing, so my criticism is of the business as a whole rather than any individual.

Vonder really made my first days in London super easy. I was able to focus on enjoying the city instead of having to stress over finding a place to stay and needing to furnish it. Everything was included so I only needed to drop off my bags and jump straight into being a London local. The team was very friendly and helpful with their local recommendations and instructions.

I worked at Hill House in early April through a agency abbatts I found. the building manager ben a very nice man to work with but as for the concerige joanne she was a bully and treated me like a piece of dirt

The building is very modern with bright flats, common areas and terrace but some managing companies letting the flats are rather bad so I would not want to go back.

However, one of the best 'features' of Hill House is without doubt the concierge service! Extremely professional, friendly and helpful! In particular, Joanna and Luis! It's been tough to get used to not having them around as they have given the best concierge/reception service I have ever seen and only hope the HH managing agent recognises their hard work as much as the value they bring!

Brand new building, great amenities and extremely helpful and friendly concierge team. Joanna, Luiz and their colleagues demonstrate what a great reception service should be on every day basis, 24/7.

This is a review for Archway, London. I had to rent short term accommodation and I was contemplating my options, with Vonder being one of them. At the time I signed-up there were a couple of negative reviews that almost put me off but I am so happy I decided to take the plunge and sign up.

A couple of things that made the Vonder experience great for me:

1. The staff: EVERYONE was super responsive and efficient. With other agencies the process is efficient up to the point you sign up and then you get forgotten. This was certainly not the case with Vonder, throughout my tenancy my questions/issues were answered within a day, max. On occasions there were some wifi issues but I appreciated the fact that everything was addressed within the same day. There is a whatsapp group for tenants that is also monitored by staff in case any issues are reported there. Furthermore, my deposit was released in record time, 3 days, when with other agents I had to chase them for a month. In the beginning of the tenancy I had done a mistake to double pay rent and the refund process on that was also swift. A big thank you therefore to Millie, Sorcha, Dawn, Jeneane, Glen and all the other staff that work so hard!
2. The flat: I was living in a studio, which is on the smaller side but for me, as I didnt have a lot of stuff, it was just right. It is a brand new development with good sound proofing and all new appliances.
3. The rooftop: Amazing views.
4. The concierge: So very helpful!

In conclusion, I had a very positive experience with Vonder and was sad to leave my studio flat. I hope this review helps others who might be in a similar position, contemplating this option but being skeptical in light of some negative reviews.

I lived in Archway for a couple of month and I used to see Hill House tower and I always liked how it looked and that it was right next to the tube. I got in touch with Vonder for viewing and to get an idea of what the prices are like to rent one of their flats. Glen got in touch and we had at least 3 viewings on 3 different dates and all the flats he showed me were above my budget.

3 weeks later, Glen gets in touch with me again and asks me to check another flat there where the price dropped, and I’m glad he did because it was perfect and 2 weeks later I moved in. He was super helpful and made sure that the process was moving smoothly.

The concierge team are super helpful as well and very friendly, so far my stay over there has been pleasant.
