Classic brutalist flats designed by none other than Erno Goldfinger. Well worth a look. Currently being renovated too so you can't get in right now. Carradale House is right next door. Together they were a sort of prototype for the awesome Trellick Tower

So inhumane and foul, is sort of worth saving to show the lows the ‘cognoscenti’ will force any aesthetic onto people. Designed by Goldfinger (famous for other brutalist building), and now immortalised as A James Bond villain (Ian Fleming wasn’t a fan). Had the pleasure of a friend living in the block. The views of canary are superb. Last I heard it was being redeveloped into swanky apartments.

Fantastic original design standing out well amongst the more mundane and ordinary surrounding buildings. A pleasure to see it every time - would just love to make friendships with some of the residents so that I can enjoy the view from it as well.

Amazing views and lively area. Unfortunately, our dream stay there lasted only a month.

You want to live in Balfron Tower just so that you don’t have to look at it every time you look out the window. Though now it is being redeveloped into luxury apartments I’m sure the inside is even more appealing. Probably the apartments will be a solid investment given that the building is listed.

Nasty area so many cars and pollution, good help those who live here breathing in that air all day every day!.
To look at also very un attractive however no signs of graffiti and the area around with very little litter.

It's an eyesore. The term 'brutalist' is descriptive. Its like a film set from 'Bladerunner'. You can be sure that all the people who say its a wonderful piece of architecture live in agreeable Georgian terraces or country cottages with roses round the door.

I lived there for seven years, it was a mess, lifts not working, heating very poor and the boilers were still oil fired and then they kicked us all out so that could redevelop them into apartments for the middle classes, it was a vertical slum.
