Great selection, great plants for both tropical and pond's. Massive selection of dry goods, tanks and decor. Fish let them down a bit, tropical tanks were dirty and some dead fish/ body parts in tanks and pond vats. But normally really good.

So my first visit to the Aquatics part of this business. I purchased a Tropical Marine Fish and it was bagged up with very little water and then just given to me to leave. I questioned the fact that it was in a see through plastic bag and the fish will get stressed walking back through the shop! I was told, it’s 10p for a bag! This is the only aquatics shop that I have visited that are happy to let you leave with a see through plastic bag, with a live fish with no insulator such as Newspaper and an Opaque bag. I will not be using this pet shop again. Really disappointed with lack of care!!!

We actually attended the garden-centre, where we purchased some rainbow-lights, Christmas potatoes, a footmat, some bird feed and some blue wastebags.
We actually wanted canvas or stout paper bags, but not to be : plastic again.

We also wanted a metallic dust-pan: not to be again, all plastic. I thought it would be nice to have a barbecue thermometer, which meant a maximum temperature of at least 500c. Not to be. Likewise I was looking for a soil tester. Not in the location they are normally to be found.

Service. Friendly and helpful.
Display, easy to use.
Location : On the A12. Ideal.
Would we shop here again. Yes.

Now with added reptiles and spiders.. So just had to purchase a red rump they had for my tank that was empty! Now an even better shop than before and staff are lovely.

Absolutely shocked at the mess of pretty much all livestock. Very under weight young chameleons, visible ribs, sunken eyes. Very bad signs in chameleons. There was feaces all over the vivs. A royal python had a terrible dry shed, the shed was all over the place and dry, so had been there awhile. The snake still had shed stuck on it!
The bird room, well the poor love birds had feaces all over the place, on the toys and with there food! At this point there was no customers around but myself, and the shop staff were just chatting around the tills, so clearly had the time for one of them to have a tidy up. This visit was lunch time, so they should of had time before opening. You are best to avoid, unless you like the smell of poo and ammonia.

A really good retailer of fish and aquatics products. A wide selection of fish, reptiles and birds is to be had here. The animals all looked well cared for. The fish selection was a lot wider than you'll find at some pet or aquatics stores. Though guppies were available, the amount of space devoted to them wasn't huge, which was refreshing and allowed for a lot of other types of fish and inverts. In all, the best aquatics selection of products in the local area (Ipswich) I've seen at reasonable prices.
