4D Planning

We commissioned Elie at 4D to get planning permission for an alteration to a building in the Blackheath conservation zone. He was knowledgeable and efficient, and helpful with questions and in resolving problems. The process was made as smooth as possible, and we had a successful outcome. Highly recommend this company.

I commissioned 4D Planning to help me prepare and submit all necessary drawings, plans and documents for retrospective planning permission. They were very professional and helpful throughout the process and the application was successful. They were also very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them.

Elie the owner charged us a £500 abortion fee. We informed the drawing technician at 9am when he turned up that there was no point in measuring up for drawings as we found Arches behind a false wall in the basement that morning, we needed to strip it all out properly before taking measurements and creating drawings. His office is only 20 minutes away from us. £500 is excessive.

Despite this I trusted the reviews and instructed him again to complete the works and added a job of applying for planning permission. Our civil engineer agreed the terms of releasing the CAD drawings by email with him directly. We needed to add to their drawings the basement kitchen for planning permission reasons.

Once the drawings were made Elie moaned that they dont release the dwg file drawings until the 2nd final payment is made. This is contrary to what we agreed, I have this in writing.

We also paid more than enough to cover the drawings in the 1st instalment, the 2nd instalment covered the panning permission submission, and again we agreed this before hand.

The CAD technician missed a major structural hatch in the brick arch roof, a low level wall in the basement arches, and a partially embedded drainage pipe. This was vital to our shop fit out plans.

I requested directly to Elie that they return and measure and add to the drawings, he told me to get my measuring tape out and send him the dimensions. I explained it was conical oval shaped cut out so it was not so easy to measure myself, needed lasers. He refused to send someone.

My civil engineer & buiulding regs consultant was not very impressed by the drawings, it a very reputable firm. I have kept all the emails just in case Elie wants to pursue a defamation case against me.

I very rarely write bad reviews because I know employees rely on his business but I felt it necessary to tell our story to protect other businesses from his unreasonable & unyielding practices.

We had some previously approved plans which didn't really achieve what we wanted. Graham was our Consultant who helped us get our plans revised, and worked with the local planning authority to ensure they were approved, to get as close as possible to what we wanted. Always happy to talk and responds to comms very quickly.

This is my second project with 4D Planning and I have once again been impressed by Elie and his team's professionalism at every stage. I highly recommend 4D Planning irrespective of the size or complexity of the project.

Very prompt and professional service was provided by Elie, who inspired confidence from the first phone call. The drawings and application was for a Lawful Development Certificate that Elie advised we were very likely to have approved ans he was correct.
