Lots of options and different things to paint. I'll definitely be back. One of the best places we've been to for pottery painting.
Toilets are spacious, clean and there's a really thoughtful baby change space thats really good and gives baby wipes etc.
They offer different options like prosecco and pottery nights, toddler paintings and specific sessions so there really is something for everything.
Thank you for a fun evening! It was so lovely meeting everyone too. Thank you you again
I booked in to collect our items, a week later, as instructed. However, when I arrived, it was only after having to wait for 45 minutes, that I was told that not all of our items were ready for collection.
The studio manager could only tell me that this was to having such a busy Halloween, however no contact was made before my appointment to inform me that there could be delayed collection times and that our items weren’t ready. All I was told was that I would receive a call when the remaining items are ready, as I was ushered out.
I’m still waiting for the promised call back to collect the remaining items, over a week later. I can only hope that others haven’t been as unfortunate.
Refreshments were good with a nice range of hot and cold drinks and snacks to enjoy. Can’t believe how fast the two hours went - I needed three!
We have used detail pots before however these weren’t readily available and when my grandson asked if he could use he was discouraged and gave him something else to use instead.
I asked for a pole I’ve used before to hold a bauble so I could decorate all around it and was told ‘that means going upstairs’ and was made to feel I was a real inconvenience. One of my granddaughters was given a beaker to put her bauble on instead of the pole and as a result the bottom didn’t get painted - I asked for another stick so she could paint the bottom, met with a huff and being told that it meant going up to get one.
I was using a detail pot and the paint poured out over my design, I asked for help to clean the colour and I was told it was because I had squeezed too hard - explained I had to squeeze harder as it wasn’t coming out and was told it was because they needed cleaning, the older woman pointed to a tissue for me to fix myself. Our session was booked weeks in advance so I would have expected all the equipment to be cleaned and ready for us to use.
I was told it might be seven days or longer for collection. So I booked in my collection and put a note asking if they weren’t ready to please let me know.
I turned up for the collection booking and the items weren’t ready and I was told they were coming out of the kiln at 2pm. I added a note asking to call me when they were ready but received no call.
I booked in my second collection however when I turned up one item was missing which they hadn’t realised. Luckily it was found.
I understand this is a small business this is why I come back year after year despite other companies being cheaper.
Customer service could have turned this experience around. I feel we were a complete inconvenience from the start and what should have been a lovely Christmas activity with my grandchildren ended in disappointment.
***** follow on from your reply Louise as I can’t directly reply - I did reply to an email explaining my disappointment about 24 hours after our visit. *****
