We enjoyed a coffee and cake in The Stables Tearoom, for the first time in a year or two, and were pleased to see that the tables were a bit more generously spaced out to allow easy access to the other part of the tearoom.

As always it's a great place to spend a few hours, with a number of shops to browse round including a gift/art shop with work by numerous artists and craftspeople, a deli, and a gallery (but sadly that is closed on a Sunday). We love the setting of the Hall, and a walk round the lake and garden centre to finish.

What a wonderful experience!
There's a lot of selection of different workshops and crafts to find that special gift or create something special for someone.
All in one place, you can even enjoy a relaxing massage to ease all that tension.

A surprise date by my wife today. I had no idea what we were doing and got quite concerned driving down the slim country lane. We arrived at the ‘Ferrers centre of Arts’ and I absolutely LOVED it!!!
Parking is Free. 🅿️
I can’t express to you how therapeutic this actually is. The staff were both amazing; warm, welcoming, accommodating and made us feel comfortable. You get to pick an item of your choice and paint it. The activity is what you make it but 💯% satisfying and 100% recommended. There are a few places you can do this, but situated within the ‘Staunton Harrold’ grounds makes it more appealing. I’d definitely recommend this to families, couples, parents with children even a date day 😉. Pricing is very reasonable. You pay for your pot, which includes everything; the service, time, paint and also the glazing! 😍

We love coming here. Our 3yr old loves to feed the ducks and visit the various shops. The centre has been lit beautifully for Christmas, we enjoyed afternoon tea with Santa at The Stables today. I would thoroughly recommend, the food was delicious, plenty of food with variety. All the children got to talk to Santa and the naughty elf. Parking is free on week days, but the Ferrer's car park is £2 on weekends for unlimited time.

Lovely little place (been coming for years!) Sits in a park called Staunton Harold, the centre is full of artisan shops, pricy but for the quality, worth every penny! (The Cornish sausage roll literally melts in the mouth, all 6 inches of it!) The deli always had loads of one of things, always worth a taste, good selection! Cafe there & in the garden centre too (it's also great, does lunch meals too)! Also an aquatic centre for pond/tank plants & fish (only a basic selection) v. Helpful in there, but them up & you never know what you might get! Beware of the parking! On a w/e there's a £2 charge, cash, card or phone NO ♿ reduction (free if you use the garden centre ONLY, they mean it!) Park in the inner courtyard you could get locked in if you're not out by 4! The outer car park is on the road in, is for general, the middle bit, garden centre the r.h.s. of the visitors c/p has a gate they may close at 6!
IT'S A ONE WAY CAR SYSTEM! Head west to get out. R or L gets you to the Ashby-Swadlincote road (best use a sat nav if you don't know the area!) Also NT church & miles of woodland & grasslands walking, some marked, some not! Some areas are private!
Driver slowly & carefully going in! Don't say i didn't warn you!

Lots of interesting shops in such a compact area, ideal for that different ,out of the ordinary or personalised gift.
There's also a garden centre, a wonderful cafe and a deli that has dozens of yummy treats.
Parking is free during the week, and there is a small charge at weekends and bank holidays.
There are miles of lovely walks in around the Staunton Harold estate and if your feeling fit you can walk to Calke Abbey and back.
I always enjoy my day out at Staunton Harold.
