Great art space full of inspiration. Staff and students are friendly and helpful. Shop supports local artists both from within the building and from the community and stock a wide variety of work that make fantastic one off gifts. Definitely worth a visit.

Wonderful place full of creativity and friendly faces, only let down by the difficulty with the accessible entrance.

I love this place, I came here as a student when it was part of Chesterfield College and it was great to see it done up and improved for the use of local creative persons and businesses.

I still come here often to take part in courses, classes and exhibitions held by the local artists and it has a wonderful atmosphere that seems to encourage creativity.

It is almost entirely on one level and has wheelchair accessible toilets and an accessible entrance to the right of the main entrance. The car park also has a disabled parking bay.

My only issue with West Studio's is that the wheelchair accessible entrance is often locked and even if the outer door is open the inner door requires a keycard. So if you are a wheelchair user and come alone then you can not get into the building without hoping someone is around to let you in or you catch someone heading in or out of the main entrance.

It would be a great help if they added at the very least a doorbell to alert the staff you were there or an intercom system much as they have on the gate to the car park so someone could let you in remotely.

Thankfully there is usually a member of staff looking out for me if I'm booked onto a class but when I have turned up to view galleries I have had to mill around outside waiting for a random stranger to come in or out that I can ask to alert the staff I need assistance.

Great place full of small creative businesses, meeting room and shop with refreshments. Now offering some great short courses on a range of subjects.

Great gallery and really friendly staff, great to see lots of local artists exhibiting.

Excellent tour I had yesterday around the centre with the arts and minds chesterfield group with Ian Judson and the cafe staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about art towards me yesterday and the drink of coffee I had at the cafe was very cheap and nice I would go back there again with Ian Judson arts and minds group in the next few weeks
