We visited the gallery now it is back in its original site. David and his staff member were absolutely delightful. They gave us background on the pieces that were displayed and we really enjoyed the stories. I was gutted that I missed their opening night. It is so worth a visit and there is no pressure to buy. There are some fabulous artworks to view and you will recognise the names of the artists. A beautiful space.

Although this is a very small art sale shop it often has fairly high quality themes running through their displays. Sales staff generally knowledgeable about the artists. If you are looking for original art with a difference I recommend you put your nose into this small shop and take a look.

Excellent gallery with a fine display of artists and styles. Unfortunately I won’t be going back as the staff are way too intrusive and pushy. All I want as an art enthusiast is to browse peacefully at my leisure. Within two minutes of entering, I was approached by three members of staff trying to engage me with sales patter. I left abruptly. No prices on the pieces either. No doubt again to encourage engagement. It wasn’t always like this. No doubt a new boss has designs on upping sales.

I've visited the gallery on many occasions and always find the atmosphere to be very relaxed and the team to be friendly and welcoming. They are very knowledgeable about the artists and the amazing variety of works they stock and are extremely helpful if you are interested in buying something but there is no hard sell and they are equally happy to have a chat about whatever is on display.

I really enjoyed my experience at Castle Fine Art. Chris is a great guy with lots of knowledge in this field. He kindly helped me secure my first pieces of art.
I can’t wait to go back to the gallery soon.

On a recent visit to Exeter we were running a little early for a restaurant reservation and went into Exeter Castle Fine Art to browse. We were welcomed by Chris Hawkins who courteously and expertly led us round the gallery. He was incredibly knowledgeable about all of the artists and the works, happily spending time with us, answering questions and sharing his obvious love of art and for the gallery. At no point did we feel that we were being "sold" to or pressured into buying anything, the visit was a joy from start to finish. I was very drawn to a limited edition called "Loch Lonely" by Lawrence Coulson which I have subsequently purchased through Chris who has been so helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend.

My wife and I have been clients of Castle Fine Art for many years and have bought several pieces. Over that time we have met various staff and have always found them helpful, friendly, informative and above all professional. We visited today and saw Chris and Jo and once again received an excellent greeting, they both work well together and are very knowledgeable with our questions on the new James McQueen art work.
It is always a very relaxed atmosphere with plenty of time to browse and never any pressure to buy……Needless to say we couldn’t resist two of the pieces and look forward to their arrival.
Once again, many thanks Chris and Jo for all of your time, I’m sure we will see you again soon.

I recently visited Castle Fine Art Gallery to view newly released pieces from one artist. I learnt about the history behind these pieces and discussed common knowledge about the artist.

As well as knowledgeable, Chris is very personable, making the gallery a very relaxing environment and easy to spend a lot of time in. I learnt about other featuring artists and their work in the gallery, and I was instantly drawn to Paul Kenton’s ‘Neons of New York’, which I later bought from Chris. I am very pleased with my purchase, which is pride of place in my entrance hall.

I recommend visiting the gallery if you are interested in learning about the artwork on display and I look forward to seeing new pieces on my next visit.
