Al-Waris Supermarket

We love this supermarket. Loads of Indian foods to try out. Mutton for Jamaican curry is very good value. Very friendly staff. When we get to the till, the chap says "you have all the magic in your basket" so we simply nickname it " the magic shop".

The place over all is pretty cool. Its next to a vibrant Muslim atmosphere and a nice surrounded area, smallwood. Only a few people run it although, not many come here.

I applaud its effort for keeping stock and staying in business, due to the huge fire they had had a few months back. So much effort is put into this store so, the next time you come here, try to appreciate it.

Visited twice now, I'm white but often visit to get shan masala, spices, lentils, and on both occasions the shopkeeper was quick to ask if I needed help or something in particular. So convenient too with good on street parking within a short walk. Don't take cards, my only negative!!! Similar to Birmingham prices without the trek

Friendly staff, fresh meat, fruit and vegetables and they have a wide range of sweets Asian and kids.

Love this supermarket! Such a huge selection of herbs, spices, naan, snacks etc. They even order in fresh pakora, samosa, kebab and dips at very reasonable price! Service always with a smile and with good recommendations if you're not sure what to try. Highly recommend !!

A little over priced stuff (inflation) but very friendly

Excellent choice of herbs an spices, friendly staff always get my fresh coriander from here and if I'm after a spice for a recipe that's a bit out of the ordinary this is my first stop!

One of a few if any Asian stores in Redditch which since moving From the Black Country side of Birmingham has been a major loss.

Al-waris was my only go to without travelling to top up on my Curry making spices at reasonable prices.

Did not disappoint with all the spices your recipe book could throw at you.

Plenty of offers of help once inside which was appreciated as finding your quarry could prove challenging with so many spices in offer.

Lots more on offer as you would expect from an Asian supermarket like this ... Will be going back for future top ups thats for sure.
