Cherry Tree Care Home in Wales | Hallmark Care Homes

My mother was admitted to Cherry Tree Nov '16 as she was at risk ,despite a good community care package ,in her own beloved home environment. After several admissions to hosp following significant falls a multidisciplinary assessment recommended admission to a care home. Like everyone else who has taken this route we know that our selection is extremely important . We visited a few care homes within her area and Cherry Tree proved to be our favourite choose.

Mum has a very independent and strong personality so her lifestyle change hasn't been easy but Mum's changed lifestyle has been less painful than it might otherwise have been.

There have been occasions when her health has deteriorated considerably and her physical and emotional needs increased. All staff at Cherry Tree have met these needs extremely well .

They have also been very supportive to us her family and from attending the information meetings I have learnt that our and other carers / residents various concerns have been acknowledged and addressed .

Although we would love to put the clock back and see Mum as she was we know that this cannot be. It's good to be able to sleep at night without wondering if she has fallen alone in her home and that she is comfortable amongst people that acknowledge that this is HER home now and HER needs are met to the best of everyone's capabilities.
