I have indicated a rating of 1 star for this business. I have done so only because a zero rating is not possible. I am delighted to have this opportunity to review this company since, at the time of my initial contact with it, review capablility had been disabled on all of its social media platforms...and with good reason. Briefly, in January 2016 my son and I each bought a pair of Beolab 6000 speakers from Ian Grace at MorethanAv. My son realised immediately that his speakers were faulty, and returned them to Ian Grace for repair. The repair was grudgingly carried out. My own speakers were set aside for some weeks, pending decoration of the room in which they were to be located. When I came to the point of using them, I found that they, too, were faulty. I sent them to the company for repair, and found that the response of Ian Grace left much to be desired. In a telephone conversation, he accused me of fraudulently attempting to secure the repair of components from other speakers under the guise of requesting a repair to items which I had purchased from him. An extended e-mail trail then ensued, in the course of which Ian Grace showed himself to be belligerent, duplicitous and unprincipled. In the end, I was driven to the conclusion that I ought to regain possession of the components I had sent. Ian Grace refused to return them until I had forwarded to him the cost of carriage. That act further strengthened my view of him as a totally disreputable character. Being unable to review this business in any other way, I e-mailed every AV dealership In Sussex and surrounding counties, recounting the tale of my purchase from Ian Grace, and advising them to exercise caution in any dealings with him. My e-mails proved to be unnecessary. As a result of sending them I learned that Ian Grace is regarded with suspicion...even with contempt...by others in the same sphere of business. One dealer went so far as to offer a free repair (and I now quote him directly) "in order to renew your faith in B and O and assure you that not all second-hand dealers are of the nature of morethanAV". I eventually regained possession of my property from morethanAV, and had the necessary repair effected at my expense by a reputable agent in my home area. In conclusion, I would have to say that I have never in my life dealt with a more disreputable and unprincipled individual than Ian Grace. I strongly advise against having any dealings with him or any business with which he is associated. I have no doubt this review will elicit an angry response from Ian Grace. That will in no way invalidate my criticism of him and his business.

I have bought, 2 beovision 7 40 tv's,a beosound 9000,beolab 1 speakers,beolab 6000 and 8000 beolab 2, beosound 5, beosystem 6, beosound 9000 with beolab 8000 for my brother in law and lately a pair of beolab 9 all from Ian over the last 10 years. He is a gentleman to deal with and in all that time has never let me down. He has repaired items, like phones and the beosound 5 and charged me hardly any money. He has spoken on the phone and facebook to help me out and I would have to say had always been a gentleman. I would recommend without hesitation. He will look after you. Thanks Ian.

Ian’s recommendations were spot on, and he couldn’t have been more accommodating with the pricing and shipping to Italy. Happily stumbled across this chance to review these con artists a year or two after they fleeced me in a transaction for 4 x Beolab 6000. Within a month we had cause to take them up on the warranty as the internal foam in all 4 speakers was fracturing due to being rather old and dry. (Happens with speaker that age so no biggy). However Mr Grace Jr & Mr Grace Sr, decided that they were going to hold the second pair ransom, refuse to take our phone calls asking where they were and stated that they believed 'WE HAD SENT THEM DIFFERENT SPEAKERS' (!). Ended up having our own repair guy in Glasgow do the repair after having to pay to have them release OUR speakers from their custody. Abrasive personalities, literally the least professional people I've ever dealt with (don't know which of Jr and Sr come off worse in all of this). Reviews being disabled on social sites says quite a lot too. I'd hope that a year or so on they would have reflected on their appalling behaviour but I wouldn't hold out hope. DO NOT PART WITH ANY MONEY IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING BUYING FROM THEM.

Thoroughly recommend. I have always wanted a Beosound 9000 and Ian Grace has made my dream come true. I was apprehensive about buying something that I hadn’t seen but Ian assured me it was in tip top condition, and it was. I was also concerned as wanted to be able to connect to my Sonos and/or my old Amplifier, but Ian provided the correct leads and it works like a dream. The Beosound was hand delivered which was again reassuring (it’s much heavier than I thought!). Vertical wall mount was supplied (my choice) and Beo4 remote. Also good to know that it’s guaranteed and next door to Ian is a B&O specialist repairer. It’s a classic old bit of kit so need to know help is nearby if needed. So top marks all round!

Had a very good experience. I bought a vintage turntable which then developed issues, but Ian looked after me and was really helpful in making sure I didn't end up out of pocket. There are always risks when buying vintage gear so it was great to be dealing with someone honest and professional who keeps their word and looks after customers. Would recommend!

Really like dealing with MoreThanAV as it is not a pressured sale... Great product knowledge and advice for the non experts. I have bought a few items from them because of the great customer service and after sales care that they provide as well... I will certainly be buy my next product from because of it..(TV).. :)
