ChipsAway St. Albans Car Care Centre

I recently dinged my car on a wall after being blocked into a parking space. Got a few quotes and ChipsAway was one of the more reasonable ones. I've just picked up the car after 2 days with them and it looks absolutely fantastic. Brian and Amanda were really helpful booking me in (a few weeks to wait, which I took as good sign, they're obviously popular!). Great repair on wheel arch and alloy. I'd definitely recommend!

I recently used Chips Away to prepare my car to return to the BCA following the completion of a four year lease agreement. Naturally over 4 years you get some scrapes and bumps and Chips Away did an absolutely super job in restoring it to brand new condition. Not only did they do an excellent job at a reasonable price but they are also extremely knowledgeable about the process and what the BCA look for when assessing a car for auction. I cannot recommend them enough. I have just had BCA here this morning and they took the car, awarded it Grade A certification and no further costs. I know that had I not been to Chips Away before returning the car that I would have incurred some costs that would have been significantly more than the costs for the work with Chips Away. Also really lovely people. When I left my car I stupidly forgot to leave the key and headed off to the train station. Amanda drove to my house to collect the key with no fuss and I think that kind of service and customer care is very rare these days. These guys are top notch and if you live in St Albans and have a car on a lease use these guys and save yourself a fortune. Thank you Chips Away!

Fortunately for Amanda and Brian, I am a terrible driver! I have therefore had the pleasure(!!) to use their services a number of times over many years. Not once have they or their team ever let me down and they always deliver the highest standards of work. In fact, they take personal pride in ensuring they do. As an example, on the most recent repair they did for me, I got a little precious about the finish but instead of saying thats what you are getting, they went above and beyond to ensure they exceeded my expectation.

I would have no hesitation to recommend Chips Away St Albans and in fact I would go further and say if you have an issue they can sort, use them!!

Really disappointed by the way they deal with their customers services. I did asked for a quote and they become very abusive when I said the job is not available anymore. Amanda is really impulsive and she try to abuse you by pushing to buy their services.
I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I have used Chips Away on a number of occasions now for a small scratch to a large job involving dented panels and scuffed bumpers. Each time the job has been completed on time and to an excellent standard. Communication is excellent and I do not hesitate to recommend their services.

ChipsAway gave me a very competitive price and the work was completed to a very high standard. The first date that we arranged was delayed due to Covid but the work was completed on the second date that they offered. The paint repair was done at their workshop in St Albans. I would definitely use them again.
