I used Autocarmeleon twice and was happy with their work. I recommended them to my brother who brought his Audi A4 cabrio to them for quite a bit of bodywork repairs. He was told it would be done in 2 weeks, but after that time he heard nothing. He called and left voicemails and sent e-mails but no reply. After 4 weeks Autocarmeleon contacted him and said it would take another 2 weeks. He asked if they had actually started the work and they admitted they hadn't, blaming illness and a house move. The lack of communication was unforgiveable. He lost his car for a whole month of summer for nothing.
They can lend you a car free of charge while you leave your car with them, which is very good service, but when they first worked on my classic Merc they used it for 90 miles without my permission (I saw this from the trip meter). What if they had crashed it? I didn't bother saying anything at the time as I was pleased with their work. Now they have fallen off their perch I feel it is worth saying. A shame but they have permanently lost 2 customers. I was going to give them further work but not now.
