Turners Accident Repair Selby

I'm sorry to say I did not have a good experience with Turners Accident Repair in Selby, it was just problem after problem. After being in an accident (no fault of my own), I was booked in at this garage to have work completed. It took the garage almost a week to get in contact to book me in for a repair, not really getting us off to a good start. After repair, the car was delivered back to me with one of the tyres having extremely low pressure to the point it was almost flat. Anyway, that wasn't a major issue.

They did a good job with the repair work and popped out an existing dent I had which I was very pleased with, however the back wheel on the driver's side still had scratches on it consistent with the damage from the accident, which I supplied photographs of. It was if this wheel was not even looked at.

I then rang up to arrange the car to go back in for this wheel repairing, and sent photos, which were then 'lost'. I then had to chase this up, a week later my car was finally back in the garage to be repaired, with the promise that someone would ring me when the work was done and my car would be delivered back to my home. I did not get a phonecall, and I rang as soon as I finished work to see what was happening, the receptionist then confessed she had forgotten to ring me back. To be able to use my car for work the following day, I had to collect my car as 'there wasn't anyone who could deliver it', therefore having to cancel my existing plans for the evening.

I was told that the scratches on the car was due to 'hedge scratches' which is untrue, as the scratches were consistent with the rest of the scratches on the front wheel. To top it off, the repairers could not even be bothered to put the wheel nut covers back on and just threw them back in my car.

Overall, the receptionists were friendly (and slightly abrupt), the whole operation was a bit slapdash and as though they couldn't be bothered to do the job properly. I wouldn't put my trust in them again.

Overall from start to finish, my dealings with Turners was refreshing to say the least.
No drama, just straight to the point, quotation and a convenient time for me to bring my car in.
The car was with them in the morning at 9 and remarkably finished at the end of the working day.
The repair is faultless and the car looks like new again. The price was competitive as I paid for it myself so as not to affect my no claims. Highly recommend them. I too was recommended from a freind. Excellent

Guys on the phone and in person are lovely, friendly and polite.
Work completed was good. ( new van doors-we had to supply doors) not sure what went wrong with the external van lock.A side door lock was fitted on the rear door, also up-side down.
They are looking into the problem.

Avoid this place if you can.
Car was sent there through the insurance company to have the front wing repaired and the whole experience was a constant stress and hassle.
They were supposed to sort out the courtesy car out when they took ours, but we ended up without a car for about 3 weeks. We had excuse after excuse from them and it took a lot of pushing from us before they sorted a hire car out with enterprise (a car which was much smaller than ours).
The repairs took over a month. The excuse they gave us was about parts not being in the country, which we knew from getting a quote at our trusted garage locally was not true.
To top it off they drove our car back to us and somehow it had lost half a tank of fuel.
Terrible service. Terrible experience.

Only took car for assessment after an accident, so not sure how good they are yet, but they were friendly, helpful and punctual. So it's a good starr

Glad my car is being repaired at turner's, Richard and sue were nice people to meet.

My car was repaired by Turners after someone crashed into it. The repair required a new sill section and new rear door. I'm a painter by trade, so was nervous sending the car to be repaired. I needn't Have worried...they made a good job the repair, the car is pearl white and not the easiest to match and paint (well done!)
The repair was done in a week which I was also impressed with. Unfortunately turners let them selves down by not delivering a courtesy car when arranged and I actually did without. Other than this I was happy with them.

Not the best experience I've had.
They took a very long time to complete an insurance claim and when I got the car back it was filthy and the paint work left a bit to be desired.
The boss is a decent guy and sorted it but they missed the finer details and for a garage doing what they do thats not good enough.
