CBL Autoelectrics

I recently visited CBL Autoelectrics for a fault with the convertible roof on my Peugeot 307cc. It was a great experience from start to finish. They are really polite and professional, nothing is too much trouble.They really know their French cars. My roof is now working again ready for summer.

With the onset of winter coming I wanted to upgrade the headlight bulbs in my car.

I travel both to and from work in the dark, and for my personal safety, especially on today's roads, this seemed a logical choice.

I did an online search to see what was involved and quickly realised that due to the restricted access on the rear of my headlights, this was not a job I would be comfortable doing, and would be best left to a professional.

I visited a couple of "Auto Electrical Specialists" in my home town, and was quite frankly shocked at the quotes I was given to supply and fit a 4 new bulbs.

I appreciated the fact that access to the rear of the lights was difficult, but the quotes I received were, in my opinion, extortionate.

A friend of mine suggested that I try CBL Auto Electrical, in Duckpool Road, Newport.
They had been a customer of theirs and recommend them very highly.

I called in to see if they would be able to help, and at what price.

I was met by Chris, who it transpired was the proprietor of the business.

I explained what I wanted, and was pleasantly surprised at how knowledgeable Chris was with all things of a auto electrical nature.

He explained what I would best be suited with in terms of bulb upgrades, the benifit of upgrading my old bulbs for a newer variant and gave me a price to supply and fit the upgrade.

The particular bulbs I had chosen, Chris managed to supply at far better price than I had encountered anywhere else.

No mention was made of the limited access available to the rear of my headlights, other than Chris assuring that it wouldn't be a problem.

To conclude, I booked my car in for the work to be done, the job took less than time than I ever expected and the the bill was a fantastic percentage saving compared to the other "specialist's" I had visited.

I have asked CBL to source me a set of Day Running Lights, as when my car was produced, this was an option that the first owner declined.

I can't sing the praises of the service I received from Chris and his staff at CBL loudly enough.

First class customer service, fantastic product knowledge and very competitive pricing.

Highly recommended, and I wouldn't entertain going anywhere else.

Been using Chris for the last 18 Months and found his services at CBL to be top class.

I travel over 30 miles as I have the utmost trust in his ability and honesty. With running a car dealership it's integral to have people who you trust, on a handful of occasions Chris had done himself out of work by notifying the problem isn't worth fixing due to cost, he puts his customers first.

With that level of honesty, my electrical work will always go to CBL.

I needed one of my lights fixed on my Citroen. First place I rang was going to charge over £100 just to look at it. Rang CBL who fixed it for a really fair price and they also gave me advice on another problem. Will definitely recommend them if you’re looking for knowledgeable owner and staff, honesty and great service with a fair price.
