Budget bike, nothing special, service advise was amazing.

I've collected bike, on the next day did assembly, everything fine, except brakes, they are very weak and can't stop me when I want and how I want, so I've decided to go back to store and ask for the advice and support, or even service if needed. Guys told me, breaks are fine, basically it is looks fine, only not working as it supposed to. Also service engineer give an advice, pour water on break pads while I'm on bike ride, not going to happen definitely. I went home without any help basically, also I asked this question to the Clark support where breaks come from, support staff was very friendly, also they was in shock that Halfords advices me to put water on pads. The end of the story is simple, I will go to another bike service and brakes need to be "bleed" again. That's probably Halfords staff supposed to do I believe, but didn't do that. Thank you guys for awesome experience, not a first time actually, but first few times I was thinking och maybe it was just mistakes, but looks like guys it is normal working practice for you.

Bought a car seat on the website for collection, and booked the car seat demo. When I got there, they had no idea I was coming and all looked around like a deer in the headlights, called over another guy, the guy asked 'Does your car have isofix?' 'I don't know' was the reply. He simply said 'Oh, it'll probably have isofix, so it'll be really easy. You don't need me to demo it' and waved me out of the shop. I know its a free demo, so wasn't expecting the world, but they just couldn't be bothered.

Refused my Defence Forces Discount card. This was a main reason for shopping at Halfords - but was refused ("we only accept the app on your phone and not the card"). Won't be in a hurry to return.
