Halfords - Loughborough

Walked into Halfords today with my 5ft 10 inc grandson looking for a bike for his birthday, was asked if we needed any help by a guy called Sam at Loughborough store we explained what we was looking at and he spent time talking and explaining everything to my grandson, spending 40 years in the motor trade selling commercial vans I was taken aback listening and the time spent by Sam he was so knowledgeable and had the time my grandsons birthday is not till October so was not ready to buy I only needed advice and size but ended up buying the bike and Sam said I could pick it up on his birthday.
The service from Sam was outstanding

I had my bike assessed thoroughly and some minor adjustments made to the back break. The service was thoroughly and expertly completed. Josh, the mechanic was excellent and I cannot speak of him highly enough. A credit to the company.

After my son drove 15 miles to the Melton Store as the website said they had me in stock, he found that the store had closed down, website gave incorrect information. I went to my local store and Adam at the bike shop was very patient and helpful. The price in store was higher than the web piece but he price matched it for me but could not add my voucher code he suggested I place the order online which I did, only to find they were having problems with website. All in all one satisfied customer.

Very helpful and knowledgable. Fitted a new battery quickly; I was confident they knew what they were up to. I didn't shop around all that much but the price seemed pretty good too. Recommended.

Hate the layout where half the shop is upstairs - very inaccessible and a pain to get the bits you need and better when the bikes were up there!
Friendly and helpful staff but seem undermanned for the various stuff they are called to do meaning one has to wait unnecessarily.
Prices not bad but not the bargains they claim.

The garage centre / repair centre is dreadful- complete waste of time. Staff are totally unhelpful. I booked in a winter service check for my car, twice I came in and was assured a quick turnaround- both times I was asked ‘you ok leaving your car for the day’. Both times I was assured that it would be a quick service.

Don’t waste your time- they’re rubbish

A guy called Adam looked after us for our two ebike checks and services. He was friendly and polite plus his attention to detail was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for him.
Adam is a credit to your team and we wouldn’t hesitate in returning to your Loughborough store.

Just want to say how grateful I am to the very kind man who fitted a new battery to my car this evening. I was very anxious to get it done as I’m off to Devon tomorrow for a funeral. It turned out to be quite a difficult job as my car is Korean and everything was back to front! But he worked very cheerfully in the cold and dark. A brilliant service.
