Finally!
It’s all good news, bicycles are back in stock after the pandemic wiped it all away and I got mine yesterday from Halfords.
After an initial browse I asked for some assistance and Lee was most helpful, showed genuine interest in my purchase without being ‘pushy’. Got all the accessories and it’s all being assembled and built for me and ready for collection by Wednesday.
Brilliant service, thanks Lee!
PS Whilst caring for customer He was also answering phone call through his headset, what a champion!!

Excellent service, efficient team. I had broken down with a defect battery, bought 2 years ago at Halfords with 5 years guarantee. The AA managed to start the car, with the advice to replace battery straight away. I turned up at the local Halfords in Dunstable, where we purchase all our batteries for cars and bikes. Explained the issue, filled in a form and only had to wait for the engineer to finish another job before he commenced with the swap. No hassle, quick and efficient. My experience with the Dunstable team is always excellent, especially where my car is essential for my job. Top Team, Thank you very much!

We were served today by Lee at the Dunstable branch He went out of his way to make our visit a pleasant experience and was a very caring person. The Manageress was extremely nice. And very hardworking We spent a total of £349

20 mins to closing, dark outside and I asked if a bulb could be fitted on my car. I had a long journey ahead and was reluctant to ask but so glad I did.
Professional yet approachable, happy and no problem service, i was so impressed. Fitted in minutes, everything explained, I just cannot fault my experience Halfords, thank you.

The guy who I dealt with in store was brilliant. Very professional and helpful. Unfortunately they wouldn’t price match the car stereo and connecting kit that I found a hundred quid cheaper elsewhere (from legitimate UK based resellers) despite the sites complying with what is written on the Halfords website. Apparently what is on there doesn’t match up with what the manager says. So they lost my business. They didn’t even get the installation work because they won’t install kit that you don’t buy from them.

Very poor. Although the dude who I dealt with really is worth whatever they are paying him. He seems to run the place rather than the manager who didn’t even bother to come and speak to me.

I ordered some car and bike bits online yesterday after the store closing time. The screen said they were in stock and I'd get a text and email when they were ready for collection next day. The store opened at 8 this morning but by 1030 I hadn't had a text or email so rang the store to chase up. The person I spoke to implied that they hadn't yet picked the order but said the inventory clerk would ring me back to confirm everything was in stock, had been picked and was ready to collect. By 1130, no-one had called so I chased up again as my screen was still showing the order being processed and I hadn't had a text / email either. This time I was told the order was ready for collection and they couldn't understand why I hadn't been told. When I collected the order at about 12:15, I was given the wrong item (ready to use screen wash, not concentrated). Fortunately, the lady at the till spotted this before I left the store and swapped things over. On the way home from the store, I got a text and email saying the order was ready to collect - 15 minutes after I'd collected it. The 2 staff I spoke to on the phone and the lady in store were all friendly and as helpful as they could have been. But someone behind the scenes (the inventory clerk?) is letting the side down by not picking orders promptly, not phoning customers when asked to, not picking the right items, and messaging customers about "order ready" far too late. Laziness or incompetence? It doesn't matter which - someone is letting their team down badly, and messing up the customer experience as well. I'll try another Halford branch next time.

Nice people at this location. They are informative helpful and easy to get advise from. Any time I need help with car parts or accessories I always come here and make my purchases. Well done and thanks for your service 😊

Placed an order online for collection, well after an hour and no text went to collect anyway but staff weren't all that helpful as I had no text. Turns out some of the items I ordered weren't even in stock despite website not showing any issues. The guy who served me made a call to a colleague to put the stuff on order for me but the next thing I know is get an email saying your order is cancelled! 9 days later money still not back in the account! Did an online chat to chase up refund and the agent couldn't do anything apart from raise a case with the store who have up to 48 hours to respond! Shocking service and a lot of hassle when it was cancelled from their side anyway! Think this really reflects the overall management of this store - one of the worst Halfords stores I've visited, scruffy and in need of a refurb, the staff clearly didn't have enough to do, just joking around with each other. I will never go there again, just not professional. That's why shops like this are dying out to online retailers. Wouldn't have trouble like this with Amazon
