Went in for a brake light. The guy who served me was helpful, explaining which light I needed, then asked me about fitting (£8), which I agreed to. At the car, asked if I wanted both lights doing as he said they usually go at the same time, I said yes do them both. When I went in to pay, I was charged £16 for fitting because apparently it's £8 per light. I wasn't told I would be charged for both so left feeling unhappy and, to be honest, cheated. In future I'll go elsewhere for my car accessories and better service. Also, when I got home I realised I didn't have the bulb that still worked. So I've been charged more than I was told, and they kept my property. Not happy.

Popped into the Ilkeston store today to see if they knew how much pressure I should have in my tyres. I brought my used car quite recently and I didn't have much of a clue. They mentioned their motoring club and that if I joined the free club I would get a free 10 point car check. They checked my car over, put the correct pressure in my tyres and I even got s £5 money off voucher. Thank you so much to the lovely Halfords team.

Decided to get our bikes checked over before cycling in the Peak District. Great service provided by Ben who checked our bikes over thoroughly and changed any parts that were faulty. Excellent service and woud go back again for the peace of mind. Thanks Ben.

Went into the ilkeston store on Friday morning. I needed a new wiper blade for my car. The two staff that dealt with myself was absolutely brilliant. Patrick went onto the computer and shown me what was available for my car. The youg girl that was with him explained which one was the best for my car. I asked her if they could fit it for me. She said no problem and came straight out with me and fitted it. I think her name was Charlotte. Excellent service and was a pleasure to deal with them.

Had a very bad experience here with a cycle to work scheme order. They advised me I could use my voucher there, checked it and let me order a bike. I waited 10 days, then went to pick it up only to then be told they couldn't do that sale, as they dont accept that scheme. Manager was less than helpful, offering no resolve, or any alternative. I wasted my time, 2 journeys, and am still left with problem of sorting a refund for my c2w scheme voucher all due to this stores poor advice. I will not shop here again.

Went to get a new headlight bulb fitted and the service I received was exceptional. The mechanic, Rachael, was really professional and knowledgeable. She replaced it within minutes without any issues. Thank you.

I was told I would get a call when the bike was ready for collection but they didnt and when I spoke to the call centre they also said I would be phoned and I wasnt -- you cant find a direct number to speak to the store- had to drive and walk into the store to see if was ready-very poor- such a shame cos the staff I dealt with were great
