Had my motorcycle MOt'd this week. They fit me in on short notice and were incredibly welcoming. Absolutely 5* service.

My husband and I have been using Mark & Cheryl’s garage for years.
We have had various cars... and therefore we have had various car problems! ALL of which Mark and his team have resolved without fail.
A family-oriented and decent bunch; with realms of experience and an attitude to always help however they can.
Always willing to explain whatever you want to know, with a no BS approach - a refreshing change from some of our experiences with some of the main dealers we have attempted to seek help from...

I brought my car here for a general repair. To save time, i provided the garage with several photos of the problem, an email and yet it got to a week down the line, no parts had been ordered and no work done despite the assurance that the work would be done in good time.

Fast forward to today and i received a very rude and factually incorrect voicemail berating me for not returning calls. I went back to the garage with the view of cutting my losses and taking the car elsewhere. I was in a rush to get back to work so made clear that i needed the key because i am very pushed for time. I asked this lady 4 times for my key and each time she refused saying that she wants to get her point across to me to which she was told that i don't have time to stand here and talk about it, i need to go so i can get this sorted elsewhere.

I was in total disbelief that this lady then got up off of her chair, came into my personal space and began to berate me about her husband passing away and how i have absolutely no compassion - Why would i know this? I don't have an intimate relationship with my garage and their staff so i found this attack not only to be unprofessional but also very personal. I go to my garage to have my car fixed, not to have someone personally attack me because of something that has happened in their personal life. I understand that losing someone you love is deeply upsetting however as a business, you have to be able to separate that and not use it to justify why you have not done the work that you committed to doing.

I definitely won't be back, if i did this to a customer in my job, i would be in line for sacking. Personally attacking your customers is NOT ok.

Sorted a smashed reflector on my Fiesta next day - done at the time they said it would be. Decent price. Friendly service. Excellent job. Would recommend.

Great service. Having taken our van to another garage who sent it back differently broken each time, AutoTune not only fixed the issue, but checked various other elements to make sure that we were good to go. This is the sort of service that you'll want to go back to - because you know you are in good hands.

So very disappointed to feel I have to write this. I have used the garage for several years now so spent a fair amount of money there re: servicing, MOT & repairs. Paid £498 for rear brakes & calipers to be done in May 2021 & have had to have drivers side caliper redone, not fitted properly bolts done to tight, this was picked up on MOT. Also in May I asked them about a management light issue that had been a continual problem, I was told Mark would make enquiries & get back to me, after several chase up phone calls & still no response I took it else where, problem sorted and it cost me £40. I got the impression on my last couple of visits to autotune that if you are the owner of a big flashy expensive car your looked after, sadly if you happen to be the owner of a general everyday motor they are not interested. Takes alot for me to write a bad review but I feel really let down by these people.

Booked my car in for a cam belt change as they were one of the more reasonable quotes for the job. Ended up costing me way more due to them doing work that "needed to be done" and didn't ask for my consent about doing the work. One job was adjusting a faulty injector. Communication was very poor through all of this and the receptionist even made a sarcastic comment at me about the cost of parts, basically insulting my income. I spoke with the owner about my dispute he then agreed that I could spread the cost and he would throw in a free full oil and filter service. I was reluctant to go back due to the previous experience, in fact he had to chase me for the money, my fault sorry! He then told me he would be using an engine oil flush treatment on my car. A quick Google shows that ford do not endorse this treatment and many forums do not recommend doing this to older cars with high mileage. I paid the remaining balance and left without my free service. Just recently my cars injector started leaking again. I have now been to a diesel tuning expert and they have told me the injector has been repaired badly to the point that the car is basically a write off as the cylinder head will need replacing soon. Just another garage guilt tripping you to hand over cash with the old "I can't let you drive away, that's gotta be done" routine. Demand they only do the work you asked for and get a second opinion! Can only assume the good reviews are from personal friends who they have begged to write on here, as that's what everyone does.
