Golden Lion Garage

Did a good, courteous, professional job with my MoT today. They told me about a slight issue, which I'll ask my regular mechanic (Andy McLennan Autos) to fix when he's well again. I can see why he has used the Golden Lion Garage for MoT for years as you get a great service.

Best garage I have ever been to. Polite, well informed and caring. Don't go anywhere else for your vehicle needs.

Was quoted an extortionate amount of money for repairs and when we found a cheaper price elsewhere TIM the owner was extremely rude and proceeded with a diagnostics charge even though they used the AA report to quote from.
He was extremely rude to my Fiancé asking her if she was dumb over the phone and intimidating her when she came to the garage leaving her crying and upset 😡
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

Our family has been coming here for 30+ years and always had great service at reasonable prices. Would thoroughly recommend.

Abosolutely disgusting company to deal with. They book a job to have a spare car key, all agreed up to here. Once the job was completed Mmanager Morton grabbed the key and decided he only wants to pay £125 instead of £250 and it didn't even wanted to return the key. We had to call the Police to have this sorted. Police came, they also listen to the phone conversation as it was recorded and they have gave 2 option 1 to pay £250, second to hand over the key. In the end to got our key back, and left this rude and time waster person.

Stay away of them, there are definetly better places to spend your money with.

I really don't know where to start. They had my car for 9 days with my diagnostic reader shows one fault code "Air intake system leak", they mentioned four fault code which is fine. During this time they promised to call me couple of times which never happens it was only me chasing up. they shock me with a bill of £600 with no consent. they have not consult me of what needs to be done and how much is going to cost, the only cost agreed is to have DPF cleaned by mobile professional for £150, then garage manager "Mortom" changed it to £250 cash to avoid VAT, then end up paying almost £300 despite speaking to the company the major job they do referring also to the flyer given £250. after paying and promised the car will go for test drive. they refused. customer service very very poor in my opinion. after all the engine light still on. shame to see these people still operate in high street, dishonesty is their norm. This is my experience.

Have been using this garage for 20 years nothing is to much trouble. Fast efficient service at very competitive prices.
