I have bought a car for my wife that ended up being the worst purchase I could have ever made. But these guys turned the car around to a much better shape.
What I like about them the most, is how sincere and detailed they are, they'd never give me false expectations. Had to get a service on vehicle, phoned John Bowles on the Tuesday, dropped the vehicle off on Thursday. When I got there they clearly laid out what needed servicing on the vehicle and they serviced it the same day. Extremely helpful, polite and will definitely recommend.

Visited without prior booking on way to get a new soft-top fitted nearby on off-chance they could find time to diagnose and quote for sudden red airbag warning light on my Audi cab. John offered to investigate on the Vagcom and 20 minutes later confirmed that all fault codes were clear and all was well. Instead of paying an arm and a leg at an Audi stealer, all was sorted in under an hour for the cost of a couple of pints...more than happy!

I have been using John Bowles for several years and in that time have had no reason for any complaints. The team work hard to deliver a good service so much so that in all these years my cars have been running really well all the time. Many thanks and see you again soon!

I’ve been a regular customer for 4 years.

In addition to annual MoT and Service the guys have installed the following:

Cambelt and Water Pump
Front Disk brakes and pads
Drivers side window regulator

In terms of price on parts and labour they have been exceptional value for money when compared with the exorbitant main dealer rates. I know I’ll get an honest assessment, I know enough about my car to understand what work is necessary and I’ll get looked after as a customer i.e. it’s done quickly and efficiently, sourcing original manufacturer parts where possible at an extremely competitive price.

The result is my car is running exactly as I expect it to be. I’m genuinely delighted to have found an independent garage I 100% trust will do an outstanding job looking after my car whenever work needs to be done. No hesitation in recommending whatsoever.

Called as I thought my car was in the garage, operator was extremely rude as I was ‘wasting his time’ due to my car not being there, then proceeded to hang up after a few swear words, bare in mind I’m 17 and this is a fully grown man working at a legitimate business. Appalling service, shame as their reviews show a well organised company, there’s always a few that let you down.
