I took my car into the dealer for a recall. They carried out a free health check and advised work costing £580. I called Alan Johnson and ran the work past them. Kay the receptionist was wonderful. She immediately priced the work at £120 less, explained my tyres did not need to be replaced and fitted me in immediately to replace the one part that did need to be replaced, the cost was £40!
I have used Alan Johnson for years. I am so grateful to have found such a great company. Highly recommended and Kay thank you for going the extra mile for me!

can in just say this review is towards everyone but ben who was very helpful at the start of this.

so to start I had no power in my car and called the garage. ben managed to squeeze me in to diagnose the issue which was very helpful so great service from him!

I then had my car booked in today confirming my issue with the car. when I showed up the receptionist lady was rude and very blunt. Later on that day I then got a call saying that they haven't managed to fix my new (which I brought with me) catalytic converter which was fine until I asked her to then put the old one back on, which she then said she couldn't as it was broken. when they took it off they had broken it off. so then I asked if the car would still run as I need it for work, she said its not ideal.

as soon as I stepped into the receptionist, the lady said that's £100 no greeting or anything.

the receptionist lady was so blunt and rude again, she shouldn't be allowed to work there with that type of customer service skills. I then got charged £100 for them to basically take my catalytic converter off, break it and fix it with slight tubing, they also rounded off my bolts!

I asked her about what I am paying she said the service, there was none. I left the receptionist angry and cried in my car. they all looked at me and said nothing.

this whole workshop is an awful with how they treat their customers and how unhelpful they were when explaining their services. I will never be going back there again and I suggest no one else should. they have appalling treatment towards people specially the receptionist lady.

my car is now left in a worse state as I have no catalytic converter and its extremely loud and Bassey.

DO NOT RECCOMEND!!!!!

Alan Johnson garage is super good and have always given me an outstanding level of service over many years. Alan and the team are hard word working, and Kay the receptionist and office manager is a real asset as she is so efficient and professional and hard working.

Alan and the team have looked after two of my Childrens cars in the last couple of months - service was exemplary, friendly and efficient and both cars were back on the road with the minimum of fuss - one was an MOT emmissions problem and the other required new brakes and pads - cant recommend highly enough

I've been going there with the same car for around ten years for annual car servicing and MOT (MOT is why I ticked " Service not listed" box). I don't do a high mileage with my car but I can't remember having to bring it in for repairs between the servicing for several years. I trust them to do the work they said they'd do and to a good standard. Also, not to recommend work that doesn't need doing. I don't remember any problems with the receptionist who has been efficient and polite when I've spoken to her - I don't understand why some people have made negative comments about her unless they were dealt with by a different person (holiday/sickness cover?) to the person I dealt with.
