I don't usually leave reviews but in this case I felt I had to.
I put my car in for an MOT one month ahead of time and it failed.
I booked the car in for a week later for a one day job, and was assured all parts were available and ready to go.
Two days later I was informed that I needed a part from Germany, which I knew was incorrect as Mercedes had told me the part I required. Subsequently I had to liaise with the mechanic to verify this.
Once the correct part was ordered and received, I was told that they were very busy and were unable to carry out the work in the immediate future. Two weeks later I picked up the car, and found the tailgate to be defective. Agreed that I would buy the part and garage would fit it for free, as the car was under their care when it became defective. 3 days later, I ordered the part myself and took it to the garage. Part was fitted and I was presented with a substantial bill for fitting it, including £10 plus vat for consumables on a tailgate latch.
Wouldn't recommend this garage.

Very friendly to deal with, and helpful too - I've called up just for advice in the past. A good garage for diagnosing and fixing faults, but not so great at keeping in touch / keeping you updated as to the progress and cost of the work.

I have been using the garage for a number of years and visited it again on Tuesday afternoon. I had a very annoying rattle behind the inner panelling on the drivers door, indicating to me that something was loose. Since the car is still under warranty I thought I would have to book it in for repair, otherwise I may have tried to repair it myself. Apart from two bolts the panel does just clip on, but I was dubious about either damaging it or even breaking it. After a short wait a mechanic came outside to look at it, and then went ahead and repaired it on the spot at no cost.
This was excellent service which I really appreciated, and will continue to use the garage in future. I do live in Ulverston, but it is worth travelling a little to get good service from a friendly qualified team.

Went in on Friday for an estimate on bodywork repair.
Was told I would be contacted the following Monday but no.
Contacted myself everyday for the next 10 days to be fobbed off with excuses.
Really disappointed as had been using this garage for approx 16yrs.
Contacted and informed them I was giving up on chasing them and how disappointed I was that they would treat long standing customers like this.

And they didn't even acknowledge my complaint.

So I would avoid unless you enjoy feeling like your custom doesn't matter...

never realised could leave a review but had several paint repair jobs over many years but not alas for past few years because of covid n less travelling by me as im not driving as much. however always been very accommodating to my needs as i live 30 miles away and they have done jobs to suit when im working in that area. job always done to my satisfaction and more. very friendly and approachable. best car body and trim and paint jobs ive ever had. No doubt will need to use them again for my next bump! (hopefully not needed!!)

Took my car here after a recommendation, very good service, decent price and good standard of work. Will be back

Pleasant but quote never materialised. I really would like to have used this local firm unfortunately I'm still waiting despite calling in and ringing on at least 4 occasions
